Besides rum, I also like to run! 🏃‍♂️

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My first 100K Ultra and what a run it was. Started with a smile and finished, after more than 12 hours of running, with a smile! Muddy trails, dozens of fallen trees on the track and a sprained ankle on top of it made this my biggest running challenge to date. But the amazing vibes between the runners and volunteers made it easy, thanks everyone for the chats and support along the way. And of course I had the best crew supporting me! Until the next one! by @rumjonarum

What a trip and what a fundraiser this was! We want to thank everyone who kindly donated to @savethechildrennl for our marathon in the desert of Jordan, together we raised over €2000!
This trip was truly remarkable; Jordan surprised us both! We explored the streets of Amman, visited the stunning ancient sites of Jerash and Petra, learned all about permaculture @greeningthedesertprojectii and got our hand dirty! And of course we ran the toughest and sandiest, but at the same time most incredible marathon ever. But the highlight of the trip was the wonderful group of people we got to share the experience with ❤️.
Thanks @impactmarathon for organising a great event and thanks @bobthomasultra for the great pics! taken in Jordan by @rumjonarum

In 12 days I’ll be running in the Jordan dessert less then 300km from Gaza raising money for @savethechildrennl to help children in despair in Gaza.
This will not be my first run for charity, these are pics from back in 2020 when I ran 21k (half marathon) every day for 21 consecutive days raising money for The Red Cross. This amazing journey is a very fond memory of mine and so many where so generous in their donations, back then we raised almost 5k. If you are able to do so, a donation for this new challenge would be greatly appreciated by me, @simonelings and the children of Gaza, link in bio!
PS: yes the rum makes you run faster 😅🏃🥃 by @rumjonarum

On the 29th of November, we are taking on a big challenge: running a full marathon through the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan! 🏃‍♂️ 🏜️
We’re not just running for the adventure. We’re running to raise money for Save the Children, supporting children affected by the war in Gaza. Wadi Rum desert is only about 280 km from Gaza, a reminder of how close this crisis really is. Find the link in bio to donate!
We are in our last part of our training, today we did some dunes to get prepared for the desert. 💪 by @rumjonarum

Long caption, please read! 🙏 Tomorrow I’ll be running my 1st Ultra marathon in a couple of years, I’ll be running to support Jeroen @sponsorloper who has been running 365 days in a row to raise money for charity. Jeroen lost his 4 year old son to cancer after being treated for a 1000 days @prinsesmaximacentrum which is a leading hospital solely focussed on children’s oncology and helps children in whole of Europe. Jeroen managed to inspire thousands with his story and his optimism to celebrate life and he raised over 2 million euros! Tomorrow will be his last day where he will run 120k on Texel 😱 (I’ll just do the last 60) and he will be giving it all! If you can manage to support with a donation that would be extremely appreciated, by him, me and all the children currently under treatment against cancer.
Check out Jeroen’s Insta page or go to the link in my bio. taken in Texel by @rumjonarum
