It’s been a week! We enjoyed wonderful birthday celebrations here but lots of work stress too. I struggled to run as much as I normally do and I felt my mood dipping. Todays trail adventure was exactly what I needed. There’s something about fresh air, sweat and nature that makes everything better. What boosts your mood?

We’ve had a wonderful string of gorgeous fall days and I’m getting as much outdoor time as possible, including a little trail hi jinx while today’s sourdough is fermenting! Fingers crossed this weather sticks around for @chimarathon day. Back on September 3 I first showed you this balance sequence and it was shaky at best. Fast forward a month and it’s nbd. Why? Because I did it consistently most times I worked out. It’s amazing what we can do if we just stay consistent! Remember without strength we don’t have balance. Use it or lose it!

It was all fun and games on yesterday’s trail run but this morning my bionic hip is the slightest bit achy. Four miles was likely too much, although it felt great at the time.
Worked upper body today and tomorrow I’ll rest. I will get there…

Took my bionic hip to the trails for 4 miles of run/walk intervals and dare I say it was amazing? We’ll see what she says later but for now I’m calling it all good!
