Last week I ran, bushwhacked, and scrambled up El Cap from the Service Col, and then up and over Landale to finish the loop! Super fun day with some really cool terrain!

Then went back to the area this week running the Landale loop with @taradt99! Though the views were pretty much the same as last week haha. I absolutely love the Landale area!!! by @runner.kienan

Well that was amazing! Climbed Nine Peaks yesterday with @hartbrad9 and @gordstick! That is such a cool mountain and an epic day! By far the best mountain adventure I’ve done! Though a bit of a slog climbing over Big Interior for the second time haha! by @runner.kienan

Ran out to Berg Lake today! Wow Robson is incredible!!! Spent so much time staring up at the Emperor Face, it was so big! by @runner.kienan

Recovery day hike up Swift Mountain and a little bit past! Even got an amazing view of Robson which was super cool! I can’t get over how amazing Valemount is! by @runner.kienan

That was fun! Ran the Alpenglow 100k in some very intense conditions haha! Friday night was probably one of the worst storms I have experienced. Heavy rain, thunder, and wind climbing up and over McKirdy, then all the rain made the descent (and the whole trail) into a mudslide… The night was cold and wet, but pretty much as soon as the sun came up we were treated to some beautiful views!

That is a hard but amazing course with great trails, lots of vert, and great views! by @runner.kienan

@rainshadowrunning Orcas 100! My second 100 miler in 31:30, and it felt so much stronger! The first lap felt great! Those trails were just so much fun to run! Had a few rough patches in lap 2, mainly because I was starting to feel tired but there was still so much left. On lap 3 @hartbrad9 joined me for the second half, and was amazing company, thank you so much for keeping me moving haha!!! Felt strong climbing but my quads were dead. But nothing that some pocket tortellinis and a pizza quesadilla couldn’t fix! Then lap 4 was very enjoyable! It was nice knowing I wouldn’t have to do it all again and that every hill was checked off! Surprisingly my last Powerline was my 2nd fastest of the race! On the tower we were treated with the most beautiful view of Baker ever! It was really magical! All in all that was a fantastic experience and probably one of the best races I have done!

While my nutrition still needs work, I was able to get calories in relatively consistently the whole day, except for a few hours here and there, which is a huge improvement!

Had a great time running Nico’s Big Loop again! Felt surprisingly strong and ended up being about 15 minutes faster than two weeks ago! Trails were a bit wet today, but hey, at least there was no ice 😉… by @runner.kienan
