Buffalo NY’s @zero_tolerancehc played with some big bands… @greenday @toolmusic @googoodollsofficial to name a few…but sadly @nirvana_official__ wasn’t one of them. This show at Edmonton’s the Bronx in 1991 featured a lesser known Zero Tolerance from Canada opening for Nirvana who was about to break big. #buffalohardcore #buffalohardlore #rustbelthardcore by @rustbelthardcoreflyers

@chokehold_hc from Hamilton, ON was hugely influential in the early 90s NE hardcore scene, here headlining an incredible lineup at Syracuse’s Lost Horizon with @unbroken_hardcore @nomoredreamsad @bloodletband from Florida, and Undertow from Seattle WA. Formed in 1989, Buffalo, NY’s Solid State released two demos (“Quest for Reality” and “Accept Your Fate”) before some lineup changes and a name change, forming @snapcaseband and eventually leading to bassist @daryl_tab taking over vocals. Here was one of many NE regional shows which they supported @zero_tolerancehc who frequently supported some of the biggest #NYHC bands, here opening for @civ_gb in Syracuse. by @rustbelthardcoreflyers

From the files of Aaron:
Unisound Club
November 1991
Reading, PA

Unisound was a legendary, short-lived, all-ages underground music venue and skate sanctuary located at 400 N. 8th Street in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Operated by Jake Hain, The Unsound is famously remembered as highly volatile, incredibly hot, and structurally unsafe, with notoriously raw audio quality.

Despite frequent brawls, its community anthem remained a tongue-in-check “We’re all friends at Unisound.”

Operating in the early 1990s before closing its doors in 1993, the club was a foundational epicenter for the East Coast hardcore, grindcore, punk, and heavy metal music subcultures.

We are lucky to have played this place so many times, connecting with so many bands and friends to this day.

Thanks, Jake! taken in Reading, Pennsylvania by @rustbelthardcoreflyers

Yup, that @toolmusic As mentioned on @turnedoutapunk ‘s recent podcast featuring Garrett Klahn of @texasisthereasonofficial and @copper_evr Tool opened for Buffalo’s almighty @zero_tolerancehc in 1992 at The Scrapyard. Klahn cut his chops in Buffalo band Support before Texas is the Reqson fame. Flyer courtesy of @larryransom at his Buffalo hardcore Wordpress collective. by @rustbelthardcoreflyers
