@bookartstudios Book Camp, the theme was ‘At the Fun Fair’. I thought that those who were going needed a way to get to the Fair so I made this ‘transport machine’. It has a lot of items that I’d squirreled away, waiting for the ‘right project’, which was this. I used an antique photo album as the foundation and filled it with a framed doll head with bees buzzing out, a vacuum tube, enameled gas meter, clock gears, insulator, lock, watch faces, a vintage Czech fish ornament, compass and made a slide frame beaded book. Vintage papers from Louise @french_forever inside the book. I’ll follow up with still photos of the elements. by @ruthbuffington

I recently completed a few commissions and was ready to make something for myself. The clasp is new old stock enamel, most of the beads and elements are vintage, the bracelet is lined with soft lamb leather. by @ruthbuffington

This happy little guy is lifting off in flight with the help of his bird friends. I started him in a class with the wonderful @marlainev He’s sculpted out of paper clay. I carved rubber stamps and printed his clothing. by @ruthbuffington
