I always know when I’ve got a special gift before I even open it. @ruthbuffington covers them in beautiful antique papers and hand carved stamp images. What an amazing birthday gift! Thank you Ruth❣️

I might be recovering from a surgery but my piece, "To Hartford with Love", is part of Elemental: Earth, Water, Air, Fire at Arts Center East in Vernon, and I am so honored to have it included in this exhibition.

This piece is especially meaningful to me. It is a pyrography piece on wood inspired by Hartford, with the skyline, water, and natural elements woven together in a way that reflects both place and feeling. Seeing it installed in the gallery was really special.

The opening reception was today, and while I could not be there in person because of the surgery, my husband went for me and captured video so I could still feel a part of it from home. ❤️ 🥺

Congratulations to the award winners 🏆 Sarah Paolucci, Steve Gildea, and Ruth Buffington!!! You all rock!!!

If anyone knows Steven Gildea’s Instagram handle, let me know so I can tag him too.

I am hoping people will stop by and see the show. Elemental is up through April 25 at Arts Center East in Vernon, and gallery hours are Thursday through Saturday, 1:00 to 5:00 pm.

Thank you to my dear Ruth for once again treating me to these handmade keepsakes.

Bead embroidered frames, hand-stitched with vintage metal beads, watch parts and pearls from the late 1800’s, created just for me.

And wonderfully wrapped as always.
Totally perking up my life.

My mother had surgery yesterday and needs another one. She’ll have it next week and also needs to be kept warm and protected from drafts and dust. She also needs medication. Please help me.

Since the beginning of the week, the rain hasn’t stopped and the wind is tearing the tents from their places. We are dying of cold.

Since yesterday I’ve been looking for someone to help me in this rain. I broke down crying in the street 😭😭💔

So much fun at our mini #BookFiesta Session 2 reunion at the @museumofprinting garage sale. We did some serious damage there! And then we had a fun lunch catching up.

Missing @bookartstudios and the rest of the crew!
