A year ago yesterday, my debut play Bungalow began its run at @theatre503.
It changed my life — marking the true beginning of my career as a writer.
Theatre503’s commitment to new writing and bold voices makes such a difference to emerging writers. Their Nine Elms studio is a genuinely special space — and available for hire.
If you’re a writer, or someone who loves new theatre, do check out the incredible work they do.
The picture is of the gorgeous cast and crew who lit up the production with their extraordinary talent.
Feeling grateful. And excited for what’s next. ❤️ by @ruthdsilva2

It was an absolute honour and joy to see these vital, funny and brilliant monolgues from @cardboardcitz MORE THAN ONE STORY take to the stage @traftheatre on Sunday night. I'd recommend buying the book.

Also great to see a @csonnex reluctantly go up on the stage and talk about his team and his writers with such pride.

@cardboardcitz You are a marvel! ❤️ by @ruthdsilva2

Ruth Posner and Michael Posner, your care and kindness provided me with a found family. Thank you for all the laughs, the heated debates, the holding space for each other amid huge differences of opinion and the strange, dense bread I could never get used to. It's been almost a month since you've been gone and it already feels too long to be without you.

I remember you saying Ruth that life is a garden and joy and pain have to be equally tended. Learning how to look after this garden has also helped me grow up a great deal.

I know, because of the conversations I've had with you Ruth, that it was your strong wish to be in control at the end and also to be not separated for one second from Michael. I take comfort that you completed your last epic journey holding hands, going to sleep at the same time.

Rest in love Ruth and Michael. ❤️ by @ruthdsilva2

Yesterday I wrote a reminder on my hand go to @tara_theatre see the work of 3 fantastic writers @neetusinghbains , @ayanphi and @theaminali (directed by Sameena Hussain, dramaturged by Gurpreet Kaur Bhatti) as part of the wonderful NOVA scheme.

I was so glad I did. Aliens, virtual lovers and the good fight made for a magical evening. ❤️

Today, I've written a reminder on my hand to buy some hand cream. by @ruthdsilva2
