Ridiculous blowout on the Peninsula Developmental Road. Barely felt it happen. Caravan rolled on. Rim seems to have held up in spite of the extreme abuse.

More so a post about coming across awesome humans. Jacob is one of the lead rangers with the Wuthathi Custodians. He and his crew were at Billy's Landing helping clean up the beach when we rolled in. One thing led to another and we shared the most remarkable Barramundi I have ever tasted. Probably even the best fish I have ever eaten. Incredible. Thanks Jacob!

Jardine's Ferry Crossing. The final hurdle to making it to the top of Australia. Only $250 return for a bit of water barely wider than the ferry is long. Tempting to swim it if it wasn't for all the crocs. Helps the community keep things in order.

Death of a camera. My beloved Canon R5C and RF 100-500 didn't take well to swimming. Packed in rice but it feels like a write-off. Over the last 5+ years has served me really well. An extension of self. Thousands and thousands of photos taken around the world. Question is, do I go again or pivot and focus on video? Let's see. Will miss you buddy. RIP!
