POSTS STORIES REELS

Support from these 8 local businesses helped RVA4CERF+ raise over $15,000 for @cerfplus, to aid artists affected by Hurricane Helene.

Their help has been vital in easing the costs behind our exhibition and auction. They enabled us to have promotional print materials, gallery signage, food and beverages for the reception, supplies for installation, a beautiful space for the exhibition, etc. We truly could not have made this happen without them!

Look no further than these kind and caring small businesses for framing, craft- and artworks, jewelry design / repair, printing, creative events / classes / community programs, and more!

💙✨🫶🙌 And that’s a wrap! Together, we raised $15,281 (!!!!) for @cerfplus. It will all go to help artists impacted by Hurricane Helene, both now and in the future.

Friday night’s reception was incredible, with a large crowd admiring the artwork, placing bids, and even donating just to support CERF+’s inspiring mission. The bidding wars kept things exciting, and the community’s generosity was truly heartwarming.

Huge thanks to the local artists (61 total!), sponsors, bidders, donors, volunteers, and promoters who helped turn RVA4CERF+ from a small idea into a big success.

A special shoutout to @visartsrva for hosting our exhibition and for providing invaluable guidance and support over the past 3 months. Big thanks as well to
@koalamama2008, CERF+ Executive Director, for coming to speak about CERF+’s vital work helping artists across the nation.

Visit cerfplus.org to learn more about their life-changing programs, and please keep them in mind when looking to support an organization that TRULY makes a difference.

Thanks to everyone who helped us as organizers (@christineorrstudios, @jaydan.moore and @debrariceceramics) kick off 2025 with such a positive and impactful community effort! We couldn’t be more grateful for all of you. 💙💙💙

I created this coil-built vase for the @rva4cerfplus fundraiser to represent the craft community’s connection through the best of times and, more recently, the worst. Combining clay, wood and metal, this piece reflects artists of different mediums supporting one another.

I named it “Resilience” to represent the spirit of countless craft artists who lost everything to Hurricane Helene. 100% of the proceeds from this auction go to @cerfplus (Craft Emergency Relief Fund), to provide critical support and resources as those artists continue to face countless challenges.

So far, RVA4CERF+ has raised a significant amount from online bids (LINK IN BIO), and our exhibition at @visartsrva True F. Luck Gallery has seen great attendance.

But we’re hoping for even more within the final 24 hours! Bidding closes Friday at 8 PM, and we’re wrapping the exhibition up with a Closing Reception from 6–8 PM. We’d love to see a big crowd to celebrate this meaningful effort.

It’s been an honor to work on this project with @christineorrstudios, @jaydan.moore, and the over 60 talented Richmond-area artists who donated their beautiful work. Huge thanks to our generous community sponsors, and endless gratitude to the Visual Arts Center for their guidance, support, and for hosting us in such a stunning space.

Oh and the vase is a big one— 9.5”W x 8”D x 14”H to the top of the wooden balls.

A painter, woodworker, metalsmith, ceramicist, printmaker, illustrator, fiber artist, paper artist, glass artist, and mixed-media artist walk into a bar…

Not quite—though that would be a GREAT time—but they have come together for an incredible cause!! 🙌

💙 61 Richmond-area artists have generously donated their work to benefit @cerfplus (Craft Emergency Relief Fund).

The impact of Hurricane Helene is incomprehensible, and after three months there is still so much to do. 100% of proceeds from our auction will go to CERF+, to support artists affected by Hurricane Helene. This will cover the emergency relief applications still coming in and the extended revitalization of the area with new programming.

RVA4CERF+ invites art lovers and collectors nationwide to bid on 60+ stunning artworks, and make a difference through this meaningful cause.
