What’s the weather like where you are? Does it feel like Fall?

Last week, I read In Stormy Weather and it was raining a lot so it was perfect. I enjoyed this enemies to lovers/best friend’s brother romance about two meteorologists following a hurricane and trying to figure out their future career paths. I did think it went on for a tad too long at 400 pages but overall it was a good read. When I was in middle school I wanted to be a meteorologist so it was interesting to read about how it’s been for the female MC.

☀️Summer Favorites☀️

Today is our first cooler day so I am ready to say goodbye to summer! It was such a hot summer but survived with some even steamier romances!

I didn’t read a lot of great books in the summer but thankfully romance (specifically Carley Fortune! 🤣) was here to save me! My top reads from the last three months were all romances and perfect books to read by the pool or at the beach.

💙Book Mail Monday!💙

My September box for @bookofthemonth finally arrive today. Almost in time for October 🤪. I’d be more upset if I didn’t already have a crazy big TBR stack, ha!

How was your weekend? Do you celebrate Yom Kippur? My kids didn’t have school today in honor of the holiday so we had a nice 3-day weekend. I spent Friday-Sunday playing in a tennis tournament so it was nice to have today to just relax.

Finishing up my summer reading with The Five Star Weekend and I really enjoyed it!

This was a fun, easy read. Perfect for the summer. I enjoyed all the characters and friendships and seeing everything from the weekend unfold.

After reading it, I watched the TV series and at first I didn’t like some of the changes but by the end of the series, I really liked it!

I am reading In Stormy Weather today and watching Crew Girl - the acting isn’t amazing but I’m hooked. I love a teen romance and bonus points it’s enemies to lovers 🤣

🎾Did anyone watch the US Open over the last two weeks? 🎾

I was really rooting for @bigfoe1998 and was so excited for his run! @alexzverev123 won the Men’s Singles and he’s a type 1 diabetic like me so that was exciting seeing a T1D win it all!

It feels like all my “hobbies” came together this week! Watching a T1D win the US Open while I was reading a book about tennis and also playing tennis this past week - it was a good week 🥰

Thank you to @doubledaybooks for sending me a copy of The Cruelest Game by Matthew Futterman. I enjoyed reading this book. I’ve been watching pro tennis for about 2 years (since the @netflix show Break Point came out 🤣) but I’ve been playing since 2020. So I don’t know a lot about past pros before the 2020s. This author mainly discussed currents pros that I know so it was really fun to get a look into them and their paths to success.

This book was published back in August so is out now. If you are looking to fill a void now that the US Open is over, you should check it out.

Trying to get in my last minute summer reads! I read this book over Labor Day weekend and LOVED it.

I was debating between 4.5 and 5. It was so good. It did start to drag slightly at one point and I wish we got more banter and developing relationship between the two but I loved the story so much. I want a house of books and a field of flowers. I want to go reread Anne of green gables now and plan my trip to PEI! I also just visited Toronto this summer so it was fun to read a little bit about that city.

If you are looking for a last minute summer read, I recommend This Summer Will Be Different. I’m also fairly certain they are making a movie or tv show of this and I can’t wait!

🔥 September Hopefuls 🔥

It’s hotter than anything this week. When I took this photo the feels like temperature was 114! I’m surprised the books didn’t melt 🤪🥵. I am ready for fall weather! Here’s what I’m hoping to read. I’m trying to squeeze in one or two more summer reads but since it’s hotter than August, it feels appropriate. I just need to find a beach.

Happy pub day!

I loved this one! It definitely got me excited for the Fall and I can’t wait to take my kids to haunted houses for the first time this year. I was reading this and definitely got You’ve Got Mail vibes, which is one of my favorite movies! I loved the male lead Romeo and the sexy scenes were so spicy and good! I also loved the chemistry and banter. This is a collab with one of my favorite authors @vivianmaewrites and a new to me author @author.cassandravega.
