‘BLACK NARCISSUS’ (R S T version). A re.imagining of Joe Henderson’s jazz classic. Had to give it that re.verse style treatment 🔊 🌊 R S T (re.set) is: @soundslikediomo 🎸 @austinonthedrums 🥁 @tink_musik 🎹 Big thanks to @jonrollout for having us play at @rollout ‘s beautiful upstairs space on Queen West / Trinity Bellwoods🌳🌅 😍 Also Austin took a 🔥 drum solo on this which I wanted to include, but reels over 3mins are apparently not shown to new audiences! (understandable for this platform I guess 😆). So there might have to be a part 2 for that, and y’all can see what we get into next… 👀 #rst #jazz #instrumental #groove #blacknarcissus taken in Rollout Creative by @rvrs416

RST, also known as the re.verse ‘keys trio’, is playing a FREE outdoor show at Union Station this Thursday July 9th, 5:30-8:30 for @torontounion ! Come see the re.verse spin-off project we’ve been developing, which features @austinonthedrums , @tink_musik on keys/synth, and yours truly @soundslikediomo on 6-string bass + FX 🎸 🎹 🥁 Same good re.verse vibes you’ve come to know and love, but in a fresh and open keys trio context, with a curation of music that ranges from some classic re.verse hip hop/soul/R&B instrumental cuts, approached with an open and dynamic jazz trio mindset, to 60s jazz songs by Herbie, Joe Henderson and others infused with afro/house and hip hop flavoured grooves. Come grab a seat and enjoy the summer with us and the @torontounion live music series! taken in Union Station by @rvrs416

Robb’s solo on our song “Already Know”, performed at our Float album release show last year. A deep, soul replenishing, totally improvised vibe piece from our previous album Meridian. One of our favs to play live still. Always a special energy behind this one that perpetually reconnects the band, reminding all of us to tap in to our origins and built chemistry after so many years playing together. Remembering that there is always a meaningful melody ready to grab out of the air, and that we’ll always find that same soulful synchronicity between @chinodevilla_drums @soundslikediomo and @robbcappelletto whenever we play. As long as we stay open and locked in with eachother - listening, reacting, respecting, honest and committed to holding up that shared energy -the music will keep flowing forever. The best feeling in the world, as far as we (already) know. ✨ 🔊 ♥️ Head to our rvrs416.bandcamp.com to get the full album and other releases. Thanks to our fans new and old for the continuing support - wouldn’t be the same without you 🙏 link where links go ✌️ 🎥 @buse_gulerr 🏠 @bevy.space 🙏 @daviestudiostoronto taken in bevy by @rvrs416
