My first Knicks game was just a few months before a series of life altering events. Ever since then, because of my experiences growing up low income and a child of divorce, combined with the constant whiplash of gentrification and displacement, i often feel imposter syndrome about if I'll really make it here. I know in my heart I have always been a New Yorker. I was raised here, have lived in 4 out of 5 boroughs, went to schools that don't even exist anymore because they closed down, lived through multiple major historical events that shaped this city, had the orange and green MetroCards, took the regents, and more. I have lived here 26 years out of my 30 years of life. I have worked in kitchens, bars, and on sets with multiple languages spoken. I have been in community regardless of who knows it or not. Life here can be hard and exhausting, but so rewarding. I find myself always having to fight for the life i want in the city I love and am from - but a win like this and the impact it has had reminds me that people like me are still here, doing the same. and now more than ever, we have to stay the course, answer our calling, look out for one another, and embrace the BING FUCKING BONG of it all!!

last night I felt the spirit of New York that I've been missing for so long, the real one not that manufactured stuff

this shit means something to me. I love my city and my people!!

I'm so grateful for @jdiegoroq inviting me to Mana Contemporary (a dream space!!) to screen alongside his work and the amazing @alexaselca. I also premiered the newest episode of @maartedoc, featuring my good sis @luvl1sa.

A humbling, cup-filling event. JC, I was unfamiliar with your game - your creative scene is poppin'! Can't wait for the next #3RExperience.

Kinding Sindaw is an NYC-based nonprofit dance theater company composed of indigenous tradition-bearers, Filipino American artists, and educators from all backgrounds founded in 1992. Their mission is to assert, preserve, reclaim, and re-create the traditions of dance, music, martial arts, storytelling, and orature of the indigenous peoples of Mindanao, Southern Philippines.

WGAE SSBT 2026 🎓🎓🎓

So honored to have been selected for this intensive summer program alongside an incredibly talented cohort. I learned so much about the writer's room and the people who make it happen around the clock. Grateful to all the industry experts who chose to be our instructors on top of their already crazy schedules. I love TV/Film and I love being an East Coast entertainer - we exist!

In case you didn't know, this was a very personal milestone for me. I actually applied to this program 2 years ago and was rejected. I got rejected from every Grad school/MFA I applied for as well. I continued refining my original pilot "BABYGIRL" while also honing my voice and practicing my craft in other ways. I applied to SSBT again and got in on the second try. Then I spent the last month of summer staying up super late on lots of caffeine so I could read and write and read and write some more. And despite how hard of a push it was, I feel really proud of myself for not giving up. What a fulfilling experience.

how to make flowers last longer:

unwrap, trim any damage, place in vessel.
(at our most vulnerable, what feels like home?)

start every day with fresh water.
(did you?)

flowers are meant to be shared.
(how do you actively show up for your loved ones?)

flowers are meant to be seen.
(when was the last time you saw something beautiful in real life, not just online?)

when your bouquet starts to wilt, get creative.
(constant resilience can be tiring - maybe try radical acceptance first?)

split into smaller bouquets, rearrange.
(are you finding new ways to experience joy?)

appreciate the full life cycle of every stem and every petal.
