FINALS BOUND 🇵🇭 The Philippine Volcanoes locked in a commanding 33-10 victory over Singapore. After holding a razor-thin 11-10 lead at the break, the team unleashed an explosive second-half performance, scoring 22 unanswered points to completely shut out Singapore and run away with the win. Next up, the battle for the title is set. TITLE DEFENSE IN SIGHT The Volcanoes put on an absolute clinic at the NKRAFA Pitch in Thailand, bossing the second half to secure a massive 33-10 win over Singapore and book their spot in the Big Dance. After a tight 11-10 first half, the boys completely took over in the second half with an absolute clinical display of rugby, highlighted by brilliant tries from Vince Young, Ned Stephenson, Judd Greenhalgh, and a spectacular coast-to-coast sprint from Michael Blatteis! A massive shoutout to Ryan Curtis, who put on a total masterclass from the tee. to be grateful would be an understatement.. first, i want to thank God for gifting me with the ability to play this game. i then want to thank my parents who have been nothing shy of the biggest support group. from being seven years old and starting rugby to making sacrifices to ensure that I made each training every week. spending countless hours and dollars on the road, motivating me to keep pushing; mom and dad, words cannot describe how thankful i am. and to my family, who have always been there watching my games, donating for tours, none of this would be possible without you all. to my coaches who never failed to push me to keep growing. to coach johnny pua, for seeing the light in me and continuously giving me chances. and to all the other coaches i have been blessed to play under, i thank you. not only for guiding me, but for dealing with me and me temper 😅. to all my teammates, brothers, and sisters, i thank you for allowing me to be apart of your journey. I will always look up to you to become a better man, teammate, and rugby player. and lastly, to the volcanoes, to many more wonderful experiences and successes to come! the ups and downs of this tournament are just a fraction of what’s to come.
