I suppose it says something about a celebrity when even the people paid to professionally spread fear and hatred don't have anything bad to say when they pass away. Anyway, since Dolly loved drag and was such a thoughtful, non judgemental voice for people to be themselves, it seems no more relevant time to post these fun clips from Stephen Ramberg Auntie Heroine's last big drag show in Rockford. by @ryan.guenther.9

Quick throwback to that crazy time 6 years ago I got to watch Edward Scissorhands in the Bogg's living room - wearing my own prototype Scissorhands! It was really great to see that the house had largely not been changed in 30 years. Presently working on final details for a version 2 - I hear there's a live concert with a costume contest coming up here in Chicago in October... by @ryan.guenther.9

Enjoyed the great show by Jake Owen for the 4th, and especially that it was a FREE show a 7 minute walk away from home! It's still crazy that our little town does these shows each summer with the mondo tax money they get from the business district. They seem to have even upped the spend this year, as the rest of the lineup is Smashmouth, Foreigner and Air Supply. Usually there's at least one in there I've never heard of. by @ryan.guenther.9

Thousands of people showing up in Gurnee and Palatine IL for No Kings to *show* that they're not okay with a born-rich, child raping felon with the IQ and temperament of a toddler working every day to crash the economy and permanently pervert the federal government to funnel their tax upwards into his pockets. by @ryan.guenther.9

SOFIA ISELLA at Metro Chicago - check her out if you haven't discovered her yet. Soulful, haunting, catchy, intimate all of the above apply. One of my favorites is Crowd Caffeine. Go on git! by @ryan.guenther.9

We swung by Boston's Somerville theater to see the 30th Anniversary showing of Hackers with Renoly Santiago and Lawrence Mason. They put on an elite pre-show projection mix by Wubson x Danny Aye, and it was neat to watch the movie with a full audience for the first time in 30 years, (though, clearly not quite the same when everyone already knows the movie by heart!) by @ryan.guenther.9
