weirdo was always ‘the big song’. everything needed to be ‘BIG!’. 1. big cast - every @otm.wav member available was invited to show up. we started shooting at midnight to accommodate for more people. 2. big twofive - because weirdo was the first song on the album, we stuck close to the artist’s original vision and simply expanded on the world that he has already built. we crammed as many album references as we could, from the dramatic interview reenactment to styling & props. we wanted the video to read as classic @bigbootytwofive, just with everything dramatised tenfold. im also very happy with the final title design. every time i come across this kind of super illustrative typography, id wonder what kind of situation would possibly call for letters like this. i suppose weirdo was just weird enough. thank u to everyone as always. @otm.wav will always have a special place in my heart. team: dir. by @darylengjun + @ryan.naga_ DOP + editor + colourist: @darylengjun gaffer: @victoryzy design: @ryan.naga_ stylist: @moimoiraa cast: @zekke_ @moghul.miz @flashmeoww @itsmurtynow @saint.kylo @kenny_macartney by @ryan.naga_

photography + catalogue layout + website design + world building for @studio_rip ‘brand world’, more like ‘living room’. every item seen in these photos are part of the furniture in the home studio where the rings are made. everything in the house sits somewhere between beautiful and strange. the people too. there is so much of it. the strangeness births the products and the products carry that DNA. the visual direction of RIP is naturally just the sum of its parts. i decided to first warm up with closeups of textures - scaly, furry, sloppy, gritty, etc. hopefully over the next few months i’ll get to zoom out and continue fleshing out this alien universe slowly. for now, visit studiorip.online to view or purchase :) by @ryan.naga_

unused type design for @thebackroomkl (@silas.jpeg / @robotinpyjamas) in this iteration, the exhibition title ‘roadkill’, stylised as RO4DK1LL, is made up of characters that are clunky, sharp, and gothic, referencing machinery, violence, and a time of the past. the main idea is reflection and duality - every character is mirrored onto itself. this was inspired by the artist’s annihilation-esque ideas of two(or more) forms existing as one. the artworks for the show present animal-car hybrids: monochrome drawings of gory roadkill with sections of the animal’s outer body and internal organs replaced by car-parts. how and when did this happen? we imagined several theories: 1. the animal and car fused during a car-on-animal collision 2. the animal and car both died at the same place and fused within the dirt 3. the animal and car died at the same time and fused through space either way the result is a form that has been irreversibly mutated and exists in between. half-flesh-half-machine, half-letters, halfway between life and death by @ryan.naga_

directed this with @darylengjun for @bigbootytwofive. title card hand drawn on procreate considering @bigbootytwofive ‘s lore accurate opps are the men in suits, we thought what if this song was set in a universe where he won. 25 is a young master living in a house where these men work for him as butlers. at the same time, GTY is still a love song. we wanted a ‘i’ll love you in every universe’ kind of vibe, so we got sock puppets made according to the likeness of 25 and EFI. the video is all of that combined + tom & jerry style comedy + the nostalgic corniness of an old school R&B MV + some very @moimoiraa styling to tie it all together. thank u to the team. so much grit and so much heart. and what a lovely location we found. there were 3 dogs and a pool. team: dir. by: @darylengjun @ryan.naga_ DOP + edit + colour: @darylengjun gaffer: @victoryzy grip: @itsvonnie.b stylist: @moimoiraa design: @ryan.naga_ cast: @zekke_ @moghul.miz taken in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by @ryan.naga_
