POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

1 year of the album. still feels so crazy to me. it’s the most important project i’ve ever worked on. with the best people. it’s timeless. i know that for a fact. a year in and it still feels so evergreen. still finding its way to new ears. i’m grateful to every person i crossed paths with to make this happen. grateful for the lessons learnt, bridges built and bridges burnt. have grown so much as a person since its release. i’m so proud that i let my inner child take control and steer the ship for this whole project. it’s crazy how something born with so much chaos can come together so, so beautifully. everyone involved, from the team to the homies to the family, thank you. sometimes i think about what i wanna do next, what role i want to play in all the communities i call home, and looking back it’s actually quite simple: do dope shit with dope people and dont overthink. that’s how you tap in to the source. it exists in all of us. pelan pelan kayuh dengan niat ikhlas. to die a spectacular failure than to live a life of mediocre success. words i live by every day. here’s to a thousand more albums. here’s to the stages of grief i’ve been in a thousand times for all my old selves. ABANGSAPAU the album man. the best album.

Since its launch in 2020, the WLG Incubator Programme has provided emerging Malaysian artists with a platform for mentorship, experimentation and artistic development. Each edition brings artists into an extended exchange with established practitioners, offering time to develop ideas, test new approaches and present the results through the WLG Incubator Young Artists Show.

Looking back at the editions from 2020 to 2025, we revisit the artists and mentors who have shaped the programme along the way.

Across these editions, the WLG Incubator has supported artists at formative stages of their practices, giving them the time and guidance to pursue new questions and bring their work before the public.

Watch this space for the 2026 edition. Featuring Ejin Sha, Forrest Wong and Mira Ariel Ong, this year's programme brings the three artists together under the mentorship of renowned Pakistani sculptor Amin Gulgee, with Ahmet Öğüt joining as international guest mentor.

The outcome of their six-month mentorship will be presented in ‘Again and again and again’, opening from 16 October to 14 November 2026 at Wei-Ling Gallery and Wei-Ling Contemporary.

So much learning, growing and season changing that has happened and will continue to happen with a little bit of building and practice each day. I am always so proud of you and it is so wonderful to live in the same world as you 🐞✨🐞 Wishing you a lot of light too!

To survive with art is beautiful.
To die for art is GLORIOUS.
