T100 Vancouver | P4 OA | 1st AG

Great day of racing in Vancouver! Came out the water in 20th and crawled my way back into the race on the bike. Came off the bike in 7th and managed to catch 3 more guys on the run to finish in 4th, and win my age group. Felt like I nailed the pacing and finally ran a little more like myself than I have all season with an average run pace of 3:41/km 🌶️!

Calgary 70.3 | 1st OA🥇| 4:10:20

Race recap:

Went out with the front pack on the swim and managed to find a decent group to work with, held some fast feet and managed to come out of the water in 11th. Chased everyone down on the bike and came off the bike in 1st place with a 2:07:15 bike split (88km 41.3km/h). Run course was very hard, knew I had to work a bit just to keep my lead. My calfs started to cramp up around 18km and had to shuffle my way to the line but managed to still take the win by 30s. This year I’ve put an emphasis on being fast in transition… I beat 2nd place by 30s in transitions, meaning I won the race in transition.

Nailed it! Feels like everything came together really well for this one. Back2back age group wins in Victoria and my first top 5 overall finish in an @ironmantri event. Nailed my pacing and my nutrition. Using @precisionfandh this season has been a game changer.

Thanks to my lovely parents and Mackenzie for waking up early, coming to the start line for 6am, then chasing me around for 4hours. Very grateful to have such wonderful people in my life supporting me

RVM Half: 1:14:39 | 1st AG 🥇
