If you told me four years ago that I would end up playing club baseball at Indiana University, I would call you crazy. Transferring to IU my sophomore year from Whittier, I thought I was done with my baseball career for good. Past injuries and the love for the game had me in doubt of continuing. But with some convincing from a friend, I thought I should give it a shot to get myself out there and meet new people. And let me tell you, this was one of the best decisions I could’ve ever made.

From lifelong friendships, to unforgettable memories, and experiencing different parts of the US never how I would’ve thought. To regaining that love and passion for the game, is what club baseball gave to me. It has given me some of the best friends one can ask for. It helped grow as a person, get comfortable with the uncomfortable, and hold an officer position in my final year.

Club baseball has given me so many unforgettable memories from Nashville trips, to a yearly tradition of spring break in PCB, Beer Olympics, Akron’s 1 star hotel, the Yusuf shift, Battle Creek, Bullwinkles at OSU and Brick Street at Miami OH, casino night in Charleston, those brutal triple-headers, parents weekends, and many more!

Lastly, thank you to all the photographers who spent their time with us and captured these amazing photos!

So after playing 18 years of baseball, I can officially say that I am retiring from baseball. Thank you @clubbaseballatiu ❤️.

Thank you Bloomington.

These past three years have been the best three of my life and I can’t think of a better school to have enjoyed it at! As a kid from La Jolla with zero Midwest ties, this place accepted and welcomed me in with open arms. I have met some of the best people here and have created so many friendships and memories that will last forever. The experience that Indiana has given me is something that I will never take for granted and has given me so many opportunities to grow upon. This senior year was the greatest school year ever for me and there is no other better place or people I could’ve experienced it with. From Monday night karaoke to Thursday night bingo, Saturday gamedays, bar crawls, and so much more, every moment was special and memorable to me.

To all seniors here at Indiana who have graduated, congratulations! Through all the exams, group projects, and reports, we FUCKING did it! Now it’s time to do great things and accomplish more amazing feats!

So as this chapter closes and a new one begins, I am thankful and grateful for every opportunity that came across here at Indiana. You will always hold a special place in my heart! Thank you ❤️🤍Hoo Hoo Hoosiers… Lanny out 🤙
