After nearly a decade in the industry, I finally had some time to sit down and cut together a reel showcasing my work as a Director of Photography and Editor.

I’m constantly grateful to collaborate on projects that are unique, challenging, and creatively fulfilling. I fell in love with this craft at a young age, and I’ve spent my career honing my eye, developing my skills, and building relationships with the incredible people who make this work possible.

JOYRIDE | S2000 🏁

I first connected with @joshua_opheim over 10 years ago when we were both teens growing up in NorCal. I remember first getting our licenses and getting food trays from the local in-n-out to practice drifting in empty parking lots. The same passion that led me to pursue film led him to continue down the automotive path, and after both moving to LA a few years back, Josh started working to build out his 1 of 1 custom S2000. I knew we had to combine our skills and find a way to showcase the full potential of what we’d both been working on, and so this project was born.

Originally supposed to be a 3 day shoot taking place over 1 weekend, sometimes life throws you a curveball, and after wrapping on day 2, my car was broken into and a majority of the equipment and footage we had shot was stolen. After having everyone dedicate their time and effort into the project, I didn’t want to let it all go to waste, so we doubled down and decided to recapture what we’d lost.

I’m so grateful to be able to spend my time working in an industry I love, and the heartbreak that came out of that situation is nothing in comparison to the excitement that I feel when I get to pick up a camera and collaborate with friends. Many lessons were learned in the making of this, but most of all the importance of finding a solid team you can count on and the time to work on the projects that creatively fulfill you, even if it means funding them yourself.

I want to give a big shoutout to the entire crew who helped out on this. As a spec project, this couldn’t have happened without everyone coming together and allowing me to pull favors

2025, a year of big change 🗓️

In April, I left my job in Los Angeles, moved to San Diego and took the leap into freelancing while building my own production company, @boundary8studios.

Year one exceeded expectations. I’m thankful for the talented producers, directors, clients, and crew I had the chance to collaborate with, and for the trust that made it all possible.

Heading into 2026, I’m focused on keeping that momentum going and dialing in on a few key goals:

• Continue expanding BOUNDARY8’s production and post-production capabilities (wrapped 2025 with some exciting projects I’m looking forward to sharing soon)
• Collaborate with new directors, crew and clients through both BOUNDARY8 and freelance.
• Work on 2–3 spec projects that push me creatively and conceptually
• Grow as a DP, editor, and business owner, both on set and off
• Share more of the process and behind-the-scenes along the way
