Deer season is coming fast.
Ryan Pledger and Michael Conley out putting in the work—scouting new areas, checking sign, and prepping both public land and permission properties. We’ve been placing trail cameras over mock scrapes to start patterning early movement and get dialed in before the season hits.

We trust our Asio Gear to keep us concealed and comfortable during long days in the woods. Built for the serious hunter and made for moments like these.

Preparation starts now.

What a season it was.
The 2025 whitetail season had its ups and downs, lessons learned, long sits, and moments that make it all worth it. On November 17, 2025, everything finally came together in a way I couldn’t have drawn up any better. I’m extremely blessed to have had the opportunity at a true mature buck and to bring this season full circle.

This video tells the story of the grind, the patience, and the moments that make hunting more than just a tag—it’s the journey that keeps us coming back.

I also want to take a moment to say thank you to my wife @spledger14 for always supporting me in my passion and understanding the time and dedication it takes. I couldn’t do this without you.

Huge thank you to Joe Miles and the entire team at Asio @asio_gear for their premium whitetail hunting gear and the work and effort that goes into every piece. It truly makes a difference in the field.
Thank you to Lauren Manning @lauren.r.manning for capturing the photos and videos that helped bring this season to life.
And thank you to Logan Sanburn @logansanburn for putting this video together and telling the story the right way.

Hope you all enjoy the full-length video as much as I enjoyed the season. 🦌

Sometimes you have to put your passion on hold to handle your priorities. I’ve spent the last several weeks doing just that. It’s been tough watching deer season roll on while knowing exactly where I’d rather be. But responsibilities come first, and now that business is handled, it’s time to get back to what I love! 🦌🏹

The next FIVE WEEKS are going to be all about chasing whitetails! With the rut getting closer, bucks will soon be on their feet, cruising, and searching for those does! There’s no better time of year to be in a tree!

I’ll also be spending one of those weeks down in Kentucky chasing rutting bucks, and I couldn’t be more excited!

Early mornings, long sits, cold fronts, and the anticipation of what might come walking through at any moment. THIS IS WHAT WE LIVE FOR! 🦌🏹

Time to grind! Let’s see what these next five weeks have in store!

First off, sorry for the loud diesel truck in the background! 😂

Just taking a minute to praise God for the people He has placed in my life. I’m truly blessed to have people around me who are willing to share their knowledge, experiences, and wisdom to help me grow.

Just a thought I wanted to share today: BE TEACHABLE!

No matter where you are in life or how much you think you know, there’s always something you can learn from someone else. Surround yourself with people who challenge you, listen to those willing to teach you, and never stop trying to become a better person each day.

Thankful for the people God has put in my path!

No music. No frills. Just the truth about why I choose ASIO.

I was recently asked why I choose ASIO over other camo, and for me it really comes down to three things:

Proven. Product. People.

The pattern is proven and inspired by natural predators. The product is premium gear built specifically around the needs of whitetail hunters. And the people behind ASIO are people I believe in—from the way they stand behind their gear to the way they take care of their customers.

This video isn’t anything fancy. Just me coming back from a hunt in Kentucky, answering a question I’ve been asked more than once.

Why ASIO?

Proven. Product. People.

That’s why I run it. That’s why I believe in it.

Did that black bear just try to come up my tree?! 😳🐻

What a crazy turn of events hunting in Kentucky. I watched this bear coming through the woods thinking he was just going to pass on by… until he changed directions, came straight to my tree, and decided he wanted to see what was going on up there.

No gun. No way to defend myself. Just me sitting in a tree wondering what his next move was going to be. 😂 Definitely got the heart pumping!

Hopefully this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, because I’m not sure I need round two! 😂🐻

Just another reminder—you never know what you’re going to experience when you’re in the woods. This is why I love hunting.

Early season whitetails mean heat, long walks, and staying mobile, so having the right setup makes a huge difference.

In this video, I’m breaking down my early season ASIO setup and showing the exact pieces I like to run when the temperatures are still high. I go through each piece, why I choose it, how I use it, and what it brings to my setup in the field.

For me, early season is all about keeping things lightweight, breathable, comfortable, and functional without carrying or wearing more than I need. ASIO has become a huge part of that system for me, and these are the pieces I’ve found work best for the way I hunt.

Season is here. Time to put all that offseason work to use. 🦌🏹

Nothing fancy this morning. Just getting up, getting after it, and putting in the work. 💪

5 ROUNDS
🏃 400m run
💪 15 push-ups
🔥 10 pike push-ups
🔥 20 leg raises
💪 20 shoulder taps
🦵 20 air squats

Some mornings you feel great, some mornings you don’t. Either way, the work still has to get done.

Start the day strong. Stay consistent. Keep pushing.
