@joemileshunting has created probably the best camo pattern on the market! This is the raptor camo pattern from @asio_gear and it blends in with the timber here in Wisconsin. Absolutely loving this camo!

🐺 MORE THAN JUST A PLATFORM

As I took a moment this morning, I looked down and noticed the Lone Wolf emblem cut into my platform. It got me thinking about what that emblem represents and the piece of equipment beneath my feet.

This isn’t just another piece of hunting gear. It’s something built to be carried into the woods, season after season, through early mornings, cold fronts, and those long sits when everything finally comes together. It’s knowing that the equipment you invest in today is something you can depend on for years to come.

There’s something to be said about gear that’s built with a purpose. Lightweight enough to take deep into the timber, functional enough to make mobile hunting more efficient, and built with the kind of quality that makes you appreciate the people behind the name.

Lone Wolf Custom Gear represents that mindset. Hunt mobile. Hunt efficiently. Get away from the crowds and find the places that make all those early mornings and miles on your boots worth it.

At the end of the day, our gear becomes part of our hunting stories. The platform beneath us, the sticks that get us there, and the memories made from above the forest floor become part of something bigger than a piece of equipment.

And years from now, when I look down and see that emblem again, I hope it reminds me of all the mornings, all the close encounters, and all the memories made along the way.

Because the best gear isn’t just what gets you into the tree. It’s what stays with you through the years.

🐺 Lone Wolf Custom Gear. Built for the hunt. Made for the long haul.

Turns out those early mornings in the woods add up to a whole lot more than just a good hunting story. 🦌🥩
Good meat, a full freezer, and hundreds of dollars worth of food for the family. Hard to beat that.

Be honest — if you had to BUY all the meat in your freezer right now, what do you think it’d cost? 👀 Tag somebody who’d love a freezer full of organic, field-to-table meat.

This one turned out SICK! 🔥 I love seeing these designs come to life and ending up on some killer arrow builds. Appreciate you trusting me to put this one together, Stache! 👊

Who’s ready to get their next build looking as good as it shoots? 🎯🔥

🦌 MAKE EVERY HUNT COUNT

“You never know when you’re walking into the woods for the last time, so make every hunt worth remembering.”

We get so caught up in the next season, the next tag, the next buck, and the next opportunity that we forget how lucky we are to simply have another morning in the woods.

One day, there will be a last walk down that trail. A last sit in that stand. A last sunrise breaking through the trees. A last time hearing the woods wake up around you.

And you probably won’t know it’s the last time.

So slow down. Take in the cold air. Listen to the leaves. Appreciate the people beside you. Appreciate the animal, the opportunity, and the memories being made.

Because the greatest part of hunting was never just what you brought home.

It was everything you experienced along the way.

Make this hunt count. You may never get another one.

Hunting 6’ off the ground is wild. 18mm lens on the Action 5 hides the reality that this doe stood in front of me at 4 yards for 8 min. No way to get a shot off.

Today I started practicing sub 3 second grab and snap shots.

Today was one of those days that reminded me just how special old friendships are. ❤️

It was so great to see Ryan and Sharon today! Even though it was just a quick day trip, we’re incredibly thankful we got to spend some time together, catch up, laugh, and make some new memories.

I’ve known Ryan since he was 2 years old—32 years now! It’s hard to believe it had been 11 years since we last saw each other, but somehow, when we got together, it felt like we just picked up right where we left off.

I’ve watched Ryan grow up through many different seasons of life, and I couldn’t be more proud of the man he has become, especially knowing the challenges and difficult seasons he’s had to face along the way. Seeing him today and hearing about what God is doing in his life was such an encouragement.

Some friends become more than friends—they become family. Ryan and Sharon are certainly that to us.

Thank you both for thinking of us, making the trip, and letting us chauffeur you around for the day! 😂 We truly loved every minute of it.

32 years of knowing you, 11 years apart, and a whole lot of memories in between. So thankful for friendships that stand the test of time. ❤️

And next time, let’s not wait another 11 years! 😂❤️

WHAT DOES IT MEAN “GET YOUR KIDS OUTDOORS?”

It means you have to understand the old way of doing things must change.

It means deer chores that took 30min now take 1.5 hours.

It means packing snacks, books, diapers, etc.

It means enjoying other people’s hunt while you are parenting.

BUT…

It also means creating new core memories.

It means introducing them to real conservation from an early age.

It means one of the earliest forms of bonding with your children.

Moral of the story… get your kids outdoors as soon as possible. Take them with you. Immerse them in your passions and watch them take hold of it as well.

Keep Moving Forward 🐺
