This picture was taken over 25 years ago!

I’m still best friends with some of these people all these years later. And the people in this picture actually went on to do some pretty incredible things in music.

Music really did change my life. It brought some amazing people into my life, gave me some unforgettable memories, and somehow turned into friendships that lasted 25+ years.

@rollingupbynow shared some more show flyer lore for the algo gods. This was @celebrity.band 2nd year playing @furnacefest. We’d been on the road most of that year in support of our album “Lovesick”, and we were looking forward to playing FF at the end of the summer.

We played the side stage between @bearvsshark and @armorforsleep - and the stage was a modified tractor trailer flatbed with all the appropriate gear for a festival concert. The 2nd photo was taken by @mattcabani shortly after our set - we were sweaty from the Alabama summer heat. This is one of our favorite photos of the band as it really captures our personalities. Did you catch our set that year?

@xspiritfilledx sent me this flyer by way of @nicolekphoto who apparently booked this show. If y’all keep sending me these images from the archive this might turn into a @hopesfall lore account. 📜🔮

This image is fun for a few reasons:

1. I’ve never seen this photo of @mojocommander and me together live. We only played live shows together for about 5 or 6 months before my exit from the band, so it’s cool to have this moment captured.

2. I’m not playing my trusty Gibson SG in the photo. I must’ve broken a string and borrowed @chad_oss DeArmond guitar - which I now own after it passed hands from Chad, to his former bass player @the4and5 from their previous band The Goodbye Letter, and then to me.

I love receiving these little bits of unseen history in my DM’s, so please keep sharing them if you come across an old picture, flyer, or video.

Ten bucks! I’m positive this is the show I took a chunk out of the headstock on my Gibson SG (second photo). The Millennium Underground had some exposed pipes above the stage and one guitar swing later - oops. 🪓

Thanks to my old pal @jacobmyrick from the short lived but killer Winston-Salem band intoyourarms for sending me this flyer. Wild to look back on all of our friends bands and how much they absolutely RIPPED. What a time to be alive.

Hopesfall ~ Cornerstone 2000

This show was almost exactly 26 years ago, but feels like it was just yesterday seeing these maniacs crush the Underground stage. We had a pretty good group of friends here to support, and it was incredible seeing the kids in the crowd get into it. Thought now was a good time to post since there is video footage of this show circulating right now. I shot all of these at a pretty long exposure, and by the time the atmosphere drenched my lens and things started to get to the point where bodies were being thrown to the ground, the later pics got a little messy. I’ll save some of those for a part 2 post down the road
