Well, after almost 9 years, today is my last day at @theruth

I started as a lowly board op with ‘A Christmas Carol’ in 2017. I somehow convinced the Swenson’s to start letting me do lighting for the youth productions and worked my way up all the way to Associate Lighting Designer for The Ruth. I was with the company through a nasty breakup, meeting my husband, Covid, filming Spring Awakening on their stage, 4 years of getting my bachelor’s degree, far too many years of Christmas Carol (and baby Carol 😵‍💫), being part of the opening team for the current building in Pleasant Grove, and designing the opening show: ‘Ragtime’. All together, I have been apart of over 70 main stage and youth productions with the company; over 40 of those I designed on.

It’s bittersweet to go but I am excited for the next steps in my life, grad school, and my career. taken in The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater by @ryanfallis.designs
