Basilica Sagrada Familia. The tallest church in the world, under construction for 144 years, the symbol of resilience. This year marks the completion. I'm lucky and blessed to be able to witness such grandeur in person.

Why such a big deal? The construction faced multiple drawbacks due to war, covid and was not funded by any government or churches. Despite all odds against it, the tower came up one after another. 2026 marks the completion of the Tower of Jesus, at the towering height of 172.5 metres. However, it is one metre shorter than Montjuïc hill which no man's creation can be greater than God's creation.

While your cruise ship docks at Civitavecchia, you have 6 hours to make a quick visit to Rome. But there's just too many places to go and too many things to see. Here's what I did.

Beat the heat, beat the traffic, save the hassle and tour by golf cart. What's better than a local telling stories from ancient Roman to Renaissance to Baroque. It's highly recommended if you are on cruise shorex and you are time constrained, having problems walking long distances on cobblestone streets, then this is for you.
