Carne Diem Maldives 🥩🇲🇻 As I continue to travel more, it’s a pleasure to also experience both the cultures and cuisine around the world. When in the Maldives, for the first time at the end of October, we tasted and enjoyed what @Carnediem.mv is deemed as “The Best Steak in the Maldives”. You already know we had to try it for ourselves! The restaurant utilizes a game-changing technique of grilling, using the reverse-sear process, finishing the meat at 750°C for 90 seconds, rested with mounds of sundried salt (flown in from dry zone of Sri Lanka) and thereafter gently brushed off with a bamboo brush. Best Thai spot? Best hidden gem?🥩🔥 Everyone comes to Thailand for the pad Thai. I went rogue and ordered the Thai steak with chimichurri sauce instead, and it might be one of the best things I ate all trip. Everything is made fresh to order, so it might take a little longer than you're used to. Trust me, it's 100% worth the wait. It was so good we left an extra tip on the way out, and the menu was so stacked we'd have come back for round two if it wasn't our last day 😩 If you're anywhere near here, you have to try it. Dubai chocolate Pepsi… I know how that sounds. Hear me out 🤯🥤 I was fully ready to hate it. Pepsi + chocolate + pistachio sounds like a dare, not a drink. But curiosity won. First sip: crisp Pepsi, exactly how you remember it. Then on the back end, a soft, subtle hint of pistachio that lingers in the aftertaste. Not aggressive, not too sweet, not fake. Just quietly delicious in a way I did NOT see coming 🤷‍♂️ Would I drink this every day? Probably not. Would I grab another one if I saw it? Absolutely 🤝 This is why I love traveling. I thought Coke Plus was Japan-exclusive… turns out Hong Kong has it too, and we drank it EVERY SINGLE DAY we were there 🤯🇭🇰 If you've never heard of it, Coke Plus is a functional version of Coca-Cola that's approved in Japan as a "Food for Specified Health Use." For years, posting about travel felt a little self-indulgent. The pictures, the stories, the “wish you were here” captions. I used to wonder if anyone was actually paying attention or if it was just noise on everyone else’s feed. Then one day a DM hit different → “You’re the reason I finally took the solo trip. Thank you.” And then another. And another. And it hit me — the trips weren’t just for me anymore. They were quietly giving other people permission to go Fast forward 10 years. Still traveling. Still posting. Still cringe to some people. Your last morning in a new country (in our case, Phuket), we walked the airport fridge and asked the real question: what actually works when you’re sitting in a dry cabin for 14 hours? 1.
