Okay lads, we’re under two weeks out!

We wanted to share a few of our own experiences and why we’re all so passionate about this work.

We’ve each walked through seasons of grief, uncertainty, burnout, disconnection and feeling stuck. We’ve also experienced what can happen when you step away from the noise, spend time in nature, are truly listened to, and have the space to hear yourself again.

If you’re carrying grief of any kind, or emotions you’ve been holding onto without a place to express them, this is a space for that.

If you’re feeling lost, lacking clarity, caught in the day-to-day and wondering where you’re actually heading, this is a chance to slow down, recalibrate, and reconnect with what matters to you.

If you’re feeling isolated, craving genuine connection with other men who simply want the best for you, this is a place for that.

If you’re sick of your phone and need a proper break from social media…

If you just want good food, good craic, a few laughs and to get back to what feels real…

This was a life changing trip.

The Himalayas, Nepal and everyone involved in making this trek possible have a place in my heart.

Accept the invitation.
Go on the adventure.
Lean in and lead from the front.

What we did over the last two weeks was incredible, 21 people hiked to ABC, which saw laughs, tears and everything in-between, $160,000+ now raised for suicide prevention and mental wellbeing.

The trail begins.

From Pokhara to Ghandruk, then towards Chhomrong.

The road slowly disappeared behind us and the mountains began to reveal themselves.

Rain, jungle, stone steps, teahouses, tired legs, and the first glimpse of snow in the distance.

This trek was never just about reaching Annapurna Base Camp.

It was about walking for the people we’ve lost too soon.

For the weight so many carry in silence.

And for the ones still here, still trying to find their way through.

The mountains were still far away.

But something in us had already started moving.

Grateful to back with my beautiful lil family today after an extraordinary 4 days away facilitating my 9th mens retreat 👏🏽

People’s lives changed this weekend. Genuinely.

My life changed this weekend.

The love for my friends who joined me grew massively.

I felt a deep sense of connection to myself, this world and faith.

Hard to really put into words the magic that can be found in life when one goes looking or steps back and observes truthfully.

These are the golden days.

And a new chapter has begun.

I asked myself why I do this today?

It’s been roughly 8 years since I first swam at sunrise, hung out with a friend and got coffee, and it’s been a long journey from there.

I grounded myself in the simplicity of it being a great way to wake up.

Sunrise.
Good people.
Moving the body.
Connecting to the breath.
Finding presence.
Honest and good conversations.
Cold dip. Discomfort.
Coffee, breaky and chats.

This next chapter of Cold Nips being a registered health promotion charity is a BIG ONE!

Who knew a silly little *DIP* group, with a name like COLD NIPS 💦😂 could become a charity that sits at the intersection of some of Australia’s biggest health issues.

We believe deeply in the spaces we create and have seen what they can do first hand.

People getting together regularly.
Out in nature.
Moving their bodies.
Jumping in the ocean.
Saying g’day to a strangers, friends alike, and maybe even a hug.
And having chats over coffee.

This last seven years has been a big splash and we intend to make a bigger one as we move into our 8th summer season.
