A wise man once told me, that life is about doing things with people that you love; and ultimately that this is the purest meaning of life. In many ways I had felt it is honourable to do life alone, yet the opportunity is missed to be loved, to grow through being supported, to be thought about and to be witnessed in the process of life; to the point that perhaps people around me now know me better than myself. 26 years; many lessons, challenges, relationships and moments of pure joy, yet the biggest, the journey of allowing those who choose to love me into my life, softening into being held and celebrated for my essence in this world. This has been no easy feat, I have resisted, avoided and run away from this very love which I seek; being left drowning in a puddle of my own creation, funnily enough ignoring the helping, healing hands of my loved ones. That is what makes this birthday so sweet, knowing that I have chosen to let this love in, not just on one day but slowly over the last year, practising being a villager, getting out of my own way and fostering connections with my people, my family and myself ❤️ Yet, I had to go on this journey to discover myself, my values, what is truly important to me and what i cannot live without. Friends that don’t have to fight to love me, a community that holds me in all of my challenges, and celebrates me through all of my successes. Life’s greatest privilege, to love and be loved; something that I no longer take for granted, expect or choose to ignore; this year I let all the love into my heart, as this nourishes my soul and allows me to continue my quest, with those who I love right by my side. So thank you, to everyone that contributes to my life, that offers your perspective, challenges me and helps me to see myself more clearly; this life is challenging enough as it is, so to myself; continue to let the love in, continue to take responsibility for my role in this life and remember… You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. ✨ With Imperfect Love, Matty x

So we went back to the drawing board. We’re bringing @jordan.doropoulos down off the main stage and into the centre of the Quarry. That opens up the whole wooden stage for you to practise on, and everyone, on the stage and up the tiers, gets a clear view of Jordan right in the middle of it all. Honestly? One of the best spots in the house. THIS EVENT IS GONNA BE HUGE! This year, we’ll step up again. Trek4Vets is preparing CHAD1000X gatherings in Noosa and Scarborough, Perth, in the lead-up to Remembrance Day. The workout honours Navy SEAL Chad Wilkinson and the work his wife, Sara Wilkinson, has led to bring people together around veteran mental health and suicide prevention. It’s also a chance to remember every veteran we’ve lost, stand alongside their families and start conversations that continue beyond the day itself. Whether you take on the full 1,000 step-ups, scale the challenge or share the work with a team, you can show up and be part of it. We’ll share the official dates, times and participation details soon. One step at a time. For those who stepped up for us.
