Tomorrow night, we welcome back to the booth: oansen & RY

Both Boston-based, they met at a rave a year ago and instantly hit it off over a shared love for techno. After one year of friendship, this b2b feels like the perfect way to mark it.

oansen’s a selector originating from Germany, blending melodic techno, driving groove, and hardgroove into high-energy sets defined by atmospheric melodies and unique textures. Inspired by Berlin’s diverse music culture, his sound bridges genres and brings the room together in celebration of Boston’s thriving community.

RY has developed an atmospheric, ethereal, and psychedelic approach to techno rooted in dub textures and restrained rhythm. His sets move through long transitions and extended blends, building slowly and deliberately — feeling connected to the present moment and shaped by the energy of the room.

The chemistry between the two speaks for itself.

Unbound presents: Compulsion // September 11th · 11pm-late

Boston, we’re back. Another all-night-long warehouse session built on uncompromising techno, pulling together some of the most exciting artists moving through the northeast’s underground circuit right now.

Naomi Duan steps in at peak time. NYC-based and globally forged across the underground scenes of Hong Kong, New York and Europe, her sound blends euphoric synths and raw intensity drawn from over a decade of classical piano training. With a background in psychology, she wants her listeners to walk away lifted, feeling grounded and expanded at once. Fresh off the release of her EP Sensation and Perception on @diffusereality , she brings that momentum to the Compulsion dancefloor.

On closing duties is VEZ — an NYC-based selector whose sound blends the groove of his Italian roots with the raw edge of the underground. Raised on 90s house and progressive sounds and now a resident of @infraboston , he channels a deep knowledge of electronic music into genre-fluid sets drawing from techno, house and everything in between. The kind of closing set that glues you to the floor til the early hours.

Oansen and RY return to the booth — two friends and co-organizers of Unbound bringing a tasteful b2b to the Compulsion dancefloor. Oansen’s Berlin-influenced melodic drive and atmospheric hardgroove meets RY’s ethereal, psychedelic approach rooted in dub textures and restrained percussion. The chemistry between the two speaks for itself.

Opening the night is Fairteh — Moscow-born, Boston-based, and deeply rooted in the city's underground techno scene. An artist we've had on our radar for a while, Fairteh follows the tracks rather than steering them. His sounds are selected for the moment you look up and find yourself somewhere completely new, rooted in years of listening to jazz, funk and fusion. There's a patience and precision to the way Fairteh selects, and we're excited for him to set the tone for the night ahead.

We welcome Palms, the DJ and producer project of Hawaii-based artist Joseph Palma, whose sound is rooted in the islands’ deep, driving techno movement. Also known as Palms Audio, his sets move through hypnotic grooves, rolling percussion, and heavier warehouse energy, building momentum through rhythm and atmosphere while staying connected to the raw foundations of underground club culture.

Opening the night is Topher, a Trinidadian DJ whose selections move between techno, bouyon, electro, and everything in between. With an unpredictable approach and a taste for unexpected turns, his sets keep the dancefloor guessing from one moment to the next.

Closing the night is RY, a Boston-based DJ whose atmospheric and psychedelic approach to techno draws from dub textures and restrained percussion. Through long transitions and extended blends, he builds slowly and deliberately, balancing an ethereal quality with a driven emotional edge. His sets remain deeply connected to the present moment, evolving with the energy of the room into a focused and immersive closing journey.

this past saturday into sunday morning was something we’ll carry with us for a while. to everyone who came out, trusted us, and gave themselves to the dancefloor, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. there’s something rare about a room that moves together the way you did this past weekend. we’re so incredibly grateful for this community we’re building.

boston is gritty, but together we make it beautiful. let’s dance again soon ;)

RY is a DJ and event organizer known for atmospheric, groove-driven techno rooted in dub textures and restrained percussion. His sets move through long transitions and extended blends, building slowly and deliberately. Over time his sound has taken on a more emotional and driven edge — sets that feel connected to the present moment rather than removed from it. The result is a focused, immersive experience shaped by the energy of the room.

Unbound presents: Compulsion // June 13th · 11pm

A high energy all-night-long warehouse session at a secret location in Boston, built to move from open to close without looking back. The night showcases some of Boston and New York City’s most promising young talent traveling the northeast’s electronic music circuit, with a refined focus on drive, depth and exploratory techno.

Stepping in at peak time is Kayla, an NYC-based and Boston-born DJ that brings something rare to the booth — a decade-long background in contemporary dance that deeply informs her approach behind the decks. Her sets are bouncy, hypnotic, and groove-driven, built with a deep physical understanding of how bodies move and what it takes to put listeners into motion.

LOLAXVA takes the room deep, channeling raw, dark, and heavily felt energy through every set. Moving fluidly between the majestic and the mental, her sound unfolds as an introspective journey, where emotion and momentum take over in an honest and powerful way.

On closing duties are Niqi and ry, arriving with a carefully prepared b2b — an emotionally textured, immersive set built to carry the room through to morning. Niqi’s deep, hypnotic presence connects traditional roots with techno’s evolving pulse, while ry’s patient, dub-threaded atmospherics and restrained percussion shape the space between them into something slow-burning and profound.

Opening the night back-to-back are Seo and Oansen — two friends that will carefully set the room into motion together. Seo’s hypnotic, high-energy selections, shaped by the dance floors of NYC, Boston, and Berlin, meet Oansen’s Berlin-influenced melodic drive and atmospheric hardgroove, a natural conversation between two selectors who know each other’s moves.

Mutual returns on January 30th for another long-form trip into raw, uncompromising techno, set once again in a very special location some of you might know about. A familiar yet singular room, reactivated and pushed further, curated for pressure, movement, and total immersion, with a lineup centered around deep, physical, and spatial techno, anchored by the visual and lighting work of Junkdrawer and a very special sound rig by Noise Pollution Ticket.
Headlining the night is Beatrice, Tresor resident and one of Berlin’s most uncompromising selectors, operating at the crux of deep hypnosis and relentless rhythmic drive. New York’s KXAH returns to Boston with a sound built on precision and tension, channeling stripped-back grooves, driving low end, and focused intensity.
Åre:gone and Ketzaal meet for their first back-to-back, expect a deep play between hypnotic momentum and forward-leaning groove. Niqi and Bullosa also join forces for a back-to-back that will be defined by rawness, pressure, and impact. RY rounds out the lineup, opening up the night and setting the tone for our sonic exploration.
For those who know, you know what’s in store. For those who don’t, there’s only one way to find out! This is a night built for a deeper focus, a deeper pace, and a lineup designed for those who come to move, and feel.
