Part I⠀
⠀
I forgive the past and future,⠀
and how often I got spun;⠀
I forgive the need to overshare…⠀
Or reversely when I run.⠀
⠀
I forgive myself for caring ⠀
Oh so way too much,⠀
⠀
I forgive myself for engaging,⠀
Or feeling… a scarcity of touch⠀

Part II⠀
⠀
I forgive myself for thinking⠀
That I’’m not enough,⠀
For letting fears control me,⠀
And thinking I’m not tough,⠀
⠀
I forgive myself for forgetting, ⠀
You have demons too…⠀
⠀
Or when I hurt or caused drama,⠀
It’s never what I intended to do…⠀

Part III⠀
⠀
I forgive myself for thinking⠀
I’m not an equal lover...⠀
And when they didn’t pick me;⠀
comparing myself to others,⠀
⠀
I forgive my own reflection,⠀
My shadow and my mind…⠀
I forgive my thoughts of weakness,⠀
And forgetting … there’s no such “thing” as time⠀

I forgive myself for thinking,⠀
my body is somehow less…⠀
⠀
Or that I may be lacking, ⠀
getting caught in the mental mess.⠀

I forgive myself for obsessing, ⠀
Thinking I’ve done something wrong,⠀
For feeding dark stories,⠀
A sickness that goes on and on…⠀

And mostly I forgive myself for thinking,⠀
that I need someone else to say…⠀
That I am worthy of being;⠀
And there’s no one standing in my way…⠀
