What a privilege it is to age, especially beside the people you love. Life feels like a train ride, souls drifting in and out for reasons or seasons, yet the journey stays beautiful… even when it slips from the tracks, or the conductor isn’t entirely sure what she’s doing and somehow still makes it into her 30s 🙈

But some strangers walk in and become family
that part never feels accidental.

The outpouring messages I received, from friends and even those I’ve never met, and the love I felt on my birthday moved through me in a way I won’t forget… the kind that lingers long after the night ends, or takes you a week to recover from 😅

Might have to make this a yearly thing 😉
Thank you for holding me in that kind of love.

And also a big shout out to @kateen_la and my favorite @desertfivespotla for hosting me this year, couldn’t have had this much fun without ya 🤍

I was driving down the street once, and these girls pulled up next to me with loud music having a good time.

I was single at the time and of course…

I remember looking over and getting distracted.

My car started to swerve a little bit to the right, but that wasn’t the biggest lesson.

When I looked in front of me, the cars all in front of me were way ahead, and I was pretty much where I was when I got distracted.

The lesson for me was, not only is where you look where you go, with my car veering to the right…but…

My lack of focus really really slowed me down.

When the opportunity to move forward was there, I wasn’t looking and prepared to move forward with it.

Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the noise of life, or the things that are the loudest.

Remember this…

Just because something is loudest doesn’t mean it’s the most important.

So what is the most important thing to you?

Where is your focus?

Are there things that you’re doing right now that are keeping you from where you really want to be?

If you don’t really ask that question now, you’ll look back in a few years and see how far you could’ve gone.

You’re too important to the world, and for your calling to be distracted.

I am still absolutely buzzing from the little renegade party I threw with @n810music last Saturday underneath the Hollywood sign. He played a fantastic DJ set opening up for my first ever “big band” live set. I used the new AI music system I designed to jam TOTALLY improvised and unprepared with 6 of my favourite musican friends for a few hours into sunset at one of the most iconic landmarks on Earth. There is something so freeing about having no plan and simply trusting in our innate musical voices and ability to provide and channel emotions through sound. It’s as if this is what I’ve always needed to be able to feel truly connected to what I’m doing while performing. To be able to just JAM with my friends and have it be a case of US “playing” rather than just ME “DJing” was an incredible experience. To everyone who was a part of making this happen; from my party partner Nathan, to my amazing band mates (@evan_hatfield.mp3 on saxophone, @wallaceistallman on guitar and vocals, @christophermichaelsongs on bass, @jakke on vocals, Lyell Evans Roeder on keys and @daewlk on percussion to the video team that @ryderandtheverse pulled together last minute to help us capture our set from so many different wonderful angles, to every one of you beautiful fans who made it up to boogie with us… THANK YOU 🙏 In the next couple of weeks, I will have a full length video to share with you of our performance so keep an eye out. Next up; I’m playing another live set in LA at @clinicwednesdays 😍

We had so much fun at Forest For the Trees 5 - A Free All Ages Music Dance and Yoga Event in the Park!!! 🤩 🌲 🌊

Huge thank you to @ramiro_uniting_souls , @jon_lemmon , @danegarfieldwilson and everyone else that helped produce the event.. It was lovely to see so many beautiful smiling faces, have a waterfront picnic after yoga with incredible music bumping in the background and connect with the community!!! ☮️ 💜🙏🏻

My heart is still beaming with love, joy and gratitude today!!! Can’t wait to do it again 💫💫
