Remi girl 🌈🤍

Our silly, stubborn, goofy little basset hound. The queen of peanut butter crackers, hiding toys in the weirdest places, and waddling around the backyard like she owned every inch of it.

You were Kara’s college dog and were by our sides through many moves and changes over the last 11 years. Watching you rule the backyard these last 8 months was such a gift. Watching you manage the other dogs, sniff every corner, nap in the sun, and just be happy meant more to us than we can explain.

We went through so many seasons of life together, and you were always there through every change, every chapter, and every version of home.

Thank you for every memory, every laugh, every howl, and every zoom session. We’ll miss your floppy ears and your playful personality.

Happy birthday to our go-to gal. Your heart, your thoughtfulness, and your steady friendship mean more than you know. We are so lucky to have you so present in our lives. We’ll always show up for you, no matter what. (Except for the fire dancing request)

You’ve shown up for us in every way.. like when we got norovirus a week before our wedding and needed to do wedding prep (🤢) or when I specifically request your flan/cookies on demand (😏). No matter the occasion, you always walk through the door and bring more life into our home, vacations, and spontaneous adventures.

To the newest RN in the family: I remember the years this was all a goal in the distance. I remember the prerequisites, the studying you’d put in at the chance to get into a program. And we’ll NEVER forget the summer chemistry course you, Kara, and I took in case we needed to apply to BSN programs. Through all the obstacles, you persisted. I’ll never forget the phone call after your interview, I’ll never forget the day you told us you got into the program. I know you won’t forget my reaction either🥲 I’ll also never forget watching Chace help you study by the pool. I’ll never forget the random phone calls running questionable rationales by each other. I’ll never forget pulling up to park next to a black camry crossing my fingers it wasn’t a stranger at 6am😂

But now, your goal is your reality. You have earned the honor of caring for others and serving our community just like you set out to do. Proud is an understatement. It is so fulfilling to travel this journey of life with a village of people to stand by you and love you in every moment.
