What a ride. 🚴‍♂️❤️

My 2nd Spirit to Cure is officially in the books! Looking back through these photos, I’m reminded just how special this tour really is.

350km, 3 days, plenty of brutal hills and a whole lot of time on my handcycle. Physically, this one was tough. My arms were absolutely cooked at times, and there were plenty of moments climbing those hills where I had to dig pretty deep and just keep grinding.

But when you’re riding alongside such an incredible group of people, sharing stories, laughs, tears, encouragement and a common purpose, the tough moments become a pretty small part of the bigger picture.

Together, the Spirit to Cure community has raised more than $1 MILLION this year for cancer research and that funding has now helped contribute to 9 cancer breakthroughs. 🎗️

Nine breakthroughs. Nine steps forward. And hopefully countless more lives impacted along the way.

That’s what makes every kilometre worth it.

To everyone who donated, shared my posts, encouraged me, followed along or simply sent a message, thank you. Every single dollar and every bit of support means more than you know. ❤️

And to my fellow riders, thank you for the laughs, the encouragement, the stories and for making the hard kilometres a whole lot easier. I’m bloody grateful to be part of this crew.

And finally, a huge thank you to my biggest supporter, my best friend and my partner, @hanbanana1404 … I couldn’t do half of what I do without you by my side. I’m incredibly lucky to have you. ❤️

A few sore arms/legs and tired bodies are a pretty small price to pay for what we’re all working towards.

1 week to go. 🚴‍♂️

This Sunday morning, I start my 2nd Spirit to Cure — 350km, 3 days, my hand cycle and every hill this ride can throw at me.

So far, thanks to so many of you, I’ve raised $828 of my $2,500 goal. I am so grateful for every single donation but I’ve got a gap to close and less than a week to do it.
Every dollar gets me closer to $2,500, and every dollar goes straight toward cancer research. That’s research that could mean earlier detection, better treatment, and more time with the people we love.

Pumped for my 2nd Spirit to Cure! 🚴‍♂️

In just 10 days, I’ll be back on my hand cycle taking on 350km over 3 days — with plenty of brutal hills thrown in for good measure. It’s going to be tough. My arms are going to burn, my body is going to ache, and there will probably be a moment (or ten) where I question my life choices.
But none of that matters when I think about why I’m doing this. Every km I ride and every dollar raised goes toward cancer research that could change or save someone’s life. It will be all worth it.

Not the result we were after. But we put everything into this campaign, and I couldn’t be prouder of this team. We came up against a hungry, strong USA side who hadn’t won a major title in 16 years. They wanted it, and they deserve the win. Congrats USA 🇺🇸
