Since when do we share, justify, and celebrate the death of a child? The evil in this world isn’t even trying to hide itself anymore.
We need to do better, or we will hit a point of no return.

Best tasting ready to drink on the market hands down.

The chocolate ones taste like a Yoo-hoo.

Take it from a big boy… these are amazing. And they are perfect for my new position being on the road 95% of the time. I can’t wait for these to be available for y’all to order. I’ll keep you updated.

Ah the gym.

So nice to be back.

I wish it was under a better circumstance though.

I suffered some nerve damage awhile back and I can’t feel a couple of fingers. I thought that was the extent of it.

The left side has atrophied…

But this just means I get to start over. As disheartening as it is. I will get back to 405.

I’ve posted very little over the last few months and it has been mainly for the reason of working on things for myself and my family.

I was working on Jiu Jitsu, working on my career, and working on my family itself. BJJ will be on pause unfortunately. It is a hobby for me after all… maybe a borderline obsession… but still a hobby.

But today marks day one of a new chapter for me and mine. I started a new position with a new company. This position will be completely different than those I’ve had in the past, and will also be the best I’ve had to date.

For those few who keep up with me and mine on here, thank you. I’m excited to share the next steps for my journey and the awesome things to come.

When I first started out in this sport, belting up truly didn’t matter. I started BJJ to do something with my kids and show them that Dad can do something other than lifting heavy things. That’s not to take away from how good it feels to get this belt.

And I couldn’t be more proud of my boys getting better everyday. Linken went from 1 stripe to a gray and white belt always trying to choke his friends. And Bradley earned another stripe towards his next belt.

And of course there are the people I met and friends I’ve made along the way. Without them getting this blue belt would not be possible.

I’m extremely thankful for the guys who beat the crap out of me and let me do the same.

I made it 95 hours on a fast. Nice to see it’s not that hard, honestly. I think timing and the meal you have before starting can play a big role. I think I’ll keep doing it after a little food for a few day.

I chose to stop because I find myself much more sore after BJJ and having way less energy in my rolls. So I’ll probably only fast on weekends when we don’t roll as much.

Now… give me some pizza.

It’s always a great feeling when all the work you do starts to make sense.

Or, as @floodwj keeps telling us, starting to put all the pieces of the puzzle together.

I got this awesome takedown and kept control of my partner to make sure he didn’t get obliterated by me. The last thing my training partners need is my big ass coming down with all my weight.

There’s still tons of room for improvement obviously, but man I love this stuff.

So over the past few weeks I got to relive the best cinema experiences of my childhood with my oldest son.

We got to see The Two Towers and The Return of the King… extended… in theaters. I was his age when the first came out and I thank God that I was able to do it with him. I hope it comes around for the 30th so I can do it again with my middle boy.

We love these movies. They are the best movies ever made. If you disagree, that’s ok. You’re just wrong.
