One week on from @ultratrailaustralia , we’ve reflected on plenty of highs, celebrations and unforgettable moments from an iconic weekend in the Aussie trail calendar.

Though for some for some it’s not all sunshine and rainbows and maybe the day doesn’t go entirely as planned?

We felt it would be remiss to not champion those dealing with the aftermath of a not so perfect day.

A taboo topic in our sport that many choose to ignore or not speak about..

Hats off to these legends @zaccy_harris @annie.hand08 @scotty_hawker @ryrytomkins , for the positivity, maturity and professionalism it takes to be vulnerable on the back of that bitter to swallow DNF pill.

Coming back to the mountains this weekend for redemption in the miler, @ryrytomkins looks to do one better and build from some key learnings last year.

A less than conventional build, though inspiring to understand the lengths to which one will go to commit to the goal and show those around them what’s possible when you lock in and “grind it out”.

GPT 100 miler done and dusted! Without a doubt one of the most challenging races I've faced. Felt off from the start, and it only got tougher. Blistered feet from early on, eventually turned running to walking the last 50kms and even that was excruciating, and my 25hr goal turned into 31hrs. Couldn't have finished without @josephine_tomkins happy anniversary 😘 taken in Grampians National Park by @ryrytomkins
