2025 wrapped!!!

I am so bad at journalling but really wanted a way to keep track of every month, so I’ve been making little digital collages for every month of the year. I’ve lived a thousand lives this past year, and I am so proud of myself. I’ve excelled in my advocacy, I’ve broadened my creative horizons, I’ve taken risks and done things that scare the shit out of me, and I’ve taken it slow when I felt the need for calm.

reviving this account to come out as a massive, undeniable nerd!!

been painting lots of minis lately, and I have fallen into warhammer?? turns out showing interest in your partners hobbies can turn into a hobby of your own!

I started to burn out creatively during the summer- making art about my trauma has been healing, but it can be overwhelming too. painting little fictional figures has really fulfilled me creatively over these past few months without burning me out. plus, adding cutesy little flair of my own (see- flowers everywhere) has made it feel a lot more my own.

Happy endometriosis awareness month! Here’s some ramblings & doodles on a topic that I do not often share about.

After getting the news that I have a date for (yes, another) surgery, I tried merging longer form writing with some drawing, and am really happy with the result.

this little poem opened up SO many opportunities for me when I published it two years ago. I’ve discussed the process and story behind it on a podcast, performed it live at a show benefitting sarcoma research, and met so many wonderful people who introduced me to so many wonderful resources, by the power of a quick share on social media.

i have grown and experienced a lot since i wrote this, too much to list here in one go. i feel differently about a lot of the poem, but a lot of it still hits home. my writing has improved, my opinions on what i wrote have changed, but the sentiment has stayed the same- i do not love this absolute beast i’ve been burdened with, and we will truly be together forever- until death do us part.

I wanted to give it one last ounce of love and effort, so on the two year anniversary of me writing this, and the three year anniversary of my diagnosis… please enjoy an illustrated love letter to my cancer. ♥️

i’ve been meaning to make this account for a while to share my art journey more publicly. drawing and painting and doing silly little crafts has really healed me this past year, and i have found a LOT of peace by combining art with some of my writing.

hiiiii it’s been a long time since I’ve put any poetry out into the world, so I figured it was time- have a series of haikus, as a treat! I’m really happy with how these turned out, especially with it being the first project I’ve taken on digitally illustrating 🥹
