Fidelity 05 - Deep House with Suffyan

@shutter__rhythms main man @s_____ffyan gets in the mix on the cam, recording a strong hour that strings a tight selection of deep house cuts together with a good dash of soulful jams for good measure. Lock it in with the brother who’s pushing our much needed local community radio scene along on the weekly over at @arkive___store ✌️

Check out the full mix on Shutter Rhythms’ Youtube channel. Link in bio ⬆️

On 22 August, we step outside for the very first edition of Taman RASA, a new series where music, drinks and community come together from afternoon into night. Leading our inaugural gathering is Detroit’s Moodymann in his long-awaited Singapore debut.

Through KDJ Records and as one quarter of 3 Chairs, Kenny Dixon Jr. has spent decades redefining house music through soul, jazz, funk and groove—always guided by feeling rather than formula.

Joining Moodymann is a lineup that reflects the communities at the heart of Taman RASA. Dean Chew (@funk_bstrd), Daryl Knows (@darylknows), Bobby Obby Obby (@pingpongpanda) Ramesh (@tropikaglobal) and Suffyan (@s_____ffyan) guide the soundtrack from afternoon into evening, while Mismatch and a cast of roller disco performers bring movement and unexpected moments throughout the day.

This first edition takes place at Foochow Building, marking RASA’s first gathering beyond the venue—a new chapter built around music, drinks, and community.

Welcome to Taman RASA.

life is funny

@ejmissy & yours truly this saturday at @thugshop66’s newest spot @exitreality.sg

let me just get a few things out, firstly, fuck me, ok now, ej’s the first person i truly connected with in the scene when i came out of my shell, talking to her about music & life felt so normal, as though i was talking to my dream sister,

catching her at the start, her music had that immediate impact on me as it has had on so many others, if you watch her you’d just know music lives deep within her, when i got my first bar gig & eventually club gig, both times she was there, when people ask me what kind of selector i want to be, the first thing i say is i want to have the brains & emotional touch that ej has, when i need advice, she’s first to reply with positive feedback, truly one of the fucking realest out there, i can go on & on because she never ever takes credit for being the amazing person that she is

from fan to friend to dream sister, always all three at once, okay enough talking let us torment you on a 5 hour journey this saturday; i’m going to stretch the dancefloor for the first 2 hours & ej takes you on a 🛣️ the rest of the night by @s_____ffyan
