The Burneys

Once upon a time, Under the willows draped in Spanish moss and surrounded by Florida waters, the sweet Seminole princess and her smiling Tulsa prince jumped the broom and forever said I do….

Mane twas beautiful kinfolk!
Family, food, music, and new memories.
I think the ritual healed and inspired all of us
And I’m grateful I found my dancing Queen
And we gon dance forever
Forever? Forever ever? Forever ever?!
Forever! Haha zahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Love you wife! Love ya’ll Kinfolk!
Now let’s dance across the cosmos!

Samiyah, my most free-spirited bride to date
🧡✨
Back in December, we did her trial when her hair was a true auburn. Fast forward to her wedding day in July, and she had this beautiful copper penny color!
I had to keep her brows red to avoid bleaching them (which I had NEVER done before), and her lip combo wasn’t your typical pinky nude either. We went with a burgundy/pink ombré to keep everything in harmony with her hair.

This request definitely sounded like a challenge at first, but it turned out SO beautiful. I’m grateful for brides who trust me to have fun and create something different, especially when she’s an artist herself. 🫶🏽
