🎉 Congratulations to the Department of Allied Health Sciences Student Honor Award recipients: Anh Nguyen, Jamisen Rasmussen, Mea Todd, Stephanie Moriera Cardona, and Daliana In!

These outstanding students were recognized by individuals they personally selected, including faculty members, mentors and others who have made a meaningful impact on their academic journey at Sac State. The ceremony provided an opportunity to celebrate not only their achievements, but also the relationships and support systems that helped them succeed.

It was wonderful to see family members, friends and faculty come together to honor these students and their accomplishments.

⚽👟🏐 Sport Performance Nutrition Internship 🏈🎾🏀 (Fall 2026-Spring 2027) - If you are interested in sports/performance nutrition and would like to gain experience supporting our D1 Sac State athletics, please consider applying for this internship. See link in Bio. Applications are due by Friday, June 26th. Preferred qualifications include NUFD 120: Practical Application in Sport, or currently enrolled in NUFD 120 for Fall 2026, minimum commitment ~6-15 hours/week, works well with a team, strong written/oral communication, flexibility, ability to work independently, and ability to meet deadlines. You may receive course credit with NUFD 195 or your college equivalent. This is an unpaid internship.

Note the application does NOT save; please look at all the questions and information required before submitting the application.
Information needed:
1) Your availability to work during fall semester (5am-8pm, Monday thru Saturday)
2) updated resume
3) upload ServSafe Food Handler or Food Manager certificate (only if you have one)
4) submit two references, one professional and one faculty reference (name, title, email, and phone number)

Then answer the following questions:
1) Tell us a little about yourself and why you are interested in this position.
2) Tell us about your knowledge on sport/performance nutrition. Have you taken any classes (i.e. NUFD 120), researched evidenced-based sources, practiced sports/performance nutrition in your own life, attended conferences or webinars, etc.?
3) What characteristics and qualities would make you a good fit for this position?

This week on May 14th (Thursday) at 5 PM we will be hosting an Elections Meeting and Hangout! This will be an opportunity to vote in our new officers for next semester or run for a position. Even if you are not running, we would love for you to come, support RMA, and use your voice.

Recreation Majors Association (RMA) spent the weekend at Folsom Lake SRA with 10 students for a camping trip packed with outdoor adventure and great company. 🌲⛺️ With Transportation, gear and campsites all covered, the group got to fully enjoy the experience. Highlights include hiking the Quarry Trail in Auburn 🥾, exploring caves along the way, playing games back at camp, a night hike around the lake, and plenty of time around the campfire 🔥 There was even a quick snake sighting! Great weekend full of laughs, good conversation and unforgettable memories.
