A couple weeks ago we posted a reel of this sweet girl at the moment of rescue. She was so scared. Cookie is now in her foster home and thriving. She loves her toys and is so happy. Best of all - she is ready for a forever home!
Swipe to see a picture of her big smile her now 🩷

These are some of the faces of the rescued pups hoping to land in Safe Hands. Most or all are at our #SafeHouseKY. To get them from #KYtoMN we need foster homes in the #twincities area. To help new fosters, we are looking for additional volunteers to build our Foster Mentor team and new foster support network.

In this role, you’ll guide our new fosters through every step of the process, from Intake to adoption.

What you’ll do:
Reach out to new fosters and welcome them to the team, provide regular check ins, support and be available for questions.

We’re looking for someone who:
Has knowledge of Safe Hands foster policies and protocols.
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Is friendly, welcoming, and comfortable working with diverse groups.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, please fill out a volunteer application. Link in bio.

Rey is the ultimate cuddle bug and brave little adventurer who would love to be your new best friend!

This gorgeous 6-year-old Tortoiseshell is a smart, athletic, and funny girl whose favorite activity is being your ultimate snuggle partner—she’ll happily curl up under your arm in bed or snooze right on your chest during an afternoon nap! Rey’s ideal home is one that loves a loyal companion who enjoys interactive playtime just as much as quiet lounging.

Rey has a condition called megacolon, which is well managed with a diet food and a daily medication.

She loves people once comfortable, making her a great fit for a home with gentle kids, and she gracefully tolerates dogs and other pets. Rey is fully litter-box trained, uses designated scratching posts like a pro, and is up to date on all vaccinations.

Rey can’t wait to meet you—we know you’ll fall in love with this special girl! Look for her on our adoptable cats page - link in bio.
