Introducing the facilitator of In Fellowship 2026! 🌱❤️

We are excited to welcome artist and culture strategist Sage Crump as this year’s In Fellowship facilitator. Sage joins us from a lifetime of social justice organizing and movement facilitation to lead the In Fellowship cohort through a series of virtual meetings to discuss and expand on the goals of their work. 🙌

➡️ Based in New Orleans but working nationally, Sage leverages creative practice and the cultural sector to transform systemic oppressions. She is a member of the Detroit-based artist collective Complex Movements; co-founder of The Kinfolk Effect (TKE) with artist muthi reed; an inaugural cultural strategy fellow at Opportunity Agenda; former co-director of the Emergent Strategies Ideation Institute; and Director of Racial Justice and Movement Building at the National Performance Network. 💯

Her work incorporates movement history, complex sciences, emergent strategy, and creative practice to imagine the world we want to live in—and build strategies and practices that will get us there.

Thank you Sage! 🫶

Every project name starts with a question. For Strata, we needed something that could hold the weight of the work — a word that spoke to culture, politics, history, and the people at the center of it all.

From that, a single word surfaced. Strata. Layers of rock. Layers of strategy. Each one shaped by what came before — because culture and politics aren’t separate categories. They layer and wrap around each other to tell the story of where we’ve been and where we can go.

This is Strata: A Cultural Political Conversation — dig in, look closer, go deeper, and let’s have a chat.
