“Aurora” // 55x100 in.

The largest piece of mine out in the wild. A piece of my heart incarnate. I used to dream of this— the first of many!!

It means too much to me to spell it all out, thank you💙 taken in New Braunfels, Texas by @sagisees

‘Cross-Headkick’
~5x5ft
dye & bleach on canvas

I’ve been training MMA somewhat regularly again. The movement, angles, and energy in this abstraction reminded me of the feeling of sparring— the playful but controlled dance that sometimes sparks with creativity, violence, & emotion. It’s mostly a good bit of fun + a method of expression, but you learn a lot about yourself in the process. I’m grateful for a lifetime of sparring partners, both intellectual and physical. As always, thank you. by @sagisees

“Graffiti” - threw one of my pieces up on an abandoned building in east Austin the other night. pretty stoked about this concept of public art that isn’t spraypaint! loosely inspired by @jpg.taj putting his art everywhere in the streets 👊🏽

New name, same brain 🤠

“SAGI” carries dual meanings. In Hebrew, שָׂגִיא means — “exalted, great, majestic, sublime” In Japanese, 詐欺 means — “fraud, swindle, scam”.

Here’s to a new chapter, excited to share more❤️ by @sagisees

‘Soul’ - 90x54in - housepaint, dye, bleach

some context: I used this piece of canvas to paint the walls of my latest studio - like a big stamp. I had a little voice telling me it would make for a ridiculous piece because of the 100+ layers of paint and dye built up.

This piece is special to me as it remembers a time of transition, and reminds me of the bravery it takes to keep living, dying a thousand times over only to be reborn again. Anyways I recommend watching the Pixar movie ‘Soul’. Art is magic.

This is also the largest piece I’ve hand-stretched myself!!

I’m happy to share with you all. As always, thank you💙 taken in Austin, Texas by @sagisees
