We’re excited to welcome Saied Silbak to PALART Festival 2026

We’re especially happy to open this year’s festival with an intimate Sing-a-long with Saied — a one-hour live performance built around music, collective singing and audience participation.

With no fixed running order, Saied will shape the evening through his own selection of songs, creating a shared musical experience between performer and audience.

📍 Pleasance Theatre — Studio
📅 Wednesday 23 September
🕘 9pm–10pm

Come sing with us.

I never thought this day would come. Even though I know death spares no one, I imagined you’d stay a little longer—so we could laugh again about the new generation, talk politics, and you’d ask me, “What should I cook for you to eat?” And tell me, “Come on, get married and stop staying away. Come back home!”
Then I remembered everything you went through in your life— Al Damoun, the displacement, the occupation, the loss, the pain and this rotten war, and I felt that maybe it’s better for you there, in your new place, far from all the noise and nonsense of this world and its people.
Mercy and light to your beautiful soul, grandma. I will miss you tremendously 💔 by @saied.silbak
