For this expanded performance, legendary Welsh musician Patrick Rimes has rescored Songs We Carry to be performed by Silvera, Silbak, himself, and 4 Sinfonia Cymru musicians, adding complementary Welsh songs to the programme.

Thank you to everyone who came to our event, For the Martyrs, the Living, and the Land, in London on Sunday. We are incredibly grateful to you for supporting our fundraising efforts for @thesameerproject and their crucial work in Gaza.

We are also honoured to have been joined by @saied.silbak, @tarekelazhary, @yousef.piano, @ahmad_yosf_1, @speit, and @malakmattarart, thank you for your amazing performances.

Our event was dedicated to remembering, honouring, and recommitting. For three years, our people have stood steadfast at the sharpest edge of the Zionist enemy’s brutality, and we will continue to struggle until the liberation of our homeland, from the river to the sea. 🇵🇸

Did you know that the word “oud” means “wood” in Arabic?

We all had fun learning about music from Palestinian, Jewish and Welsh traditions today at Holton Primary School in Barry. Diolch yn fawr for having us - we love being your resident orchestra!🎻

Oeddech chi’n gwybod fod y gair “oud” yn golygu “pren” yn Arabeg?

Cawson ni hwyl yn dysgu am gerddoriaeth o draddodiadau Palestinaidd, Iddewig a Chymreig heddiw yn Ysgol Gynradd Holton yn Y Barri. Diolch yn fawr am ein croesawu - rydyn ni wrth ein boddau i fod yn gerddorfa breswyl yma!🎻

Thank you so much to everyone who came to London’s PalArt festival to see Return to Palestine @thepleasance
We were so happy to gather, connect and bring these stories to you - as well as reminding you of the playful spirit of playing with oppression so we can destroy it!
We laughed, we cried, we had standing ovations every night. We hope these stories inspire you to continue to resist injustice!
@thefreedomtheatre is deeply grateful to the @palart_collective for creating space for Palestinian theatre to have a platform in London.
We hope to see you all soon!#returntopalestine #thefreedomtheatre #theatreforchange #palartfestival #culturalresistance
