I think we panic too early.
One wrong turn and suddenly we behave like the destination disappeared.

A wrong turn feels like failure because we confuse the route with the destination.
But growth, career, relationships, healing, even life itself rarely move in a straight line.

You miss a turn, you learn, you adjust, you reroute. The destination does not disappear just because the path changed. Maybe progress is less about getting every turn right, and more about knowing how to keep moving.

Pain has a strange ego. Stay with it long enough, and it starts introducing itself as your personality. The Sufis would probably laugh at that.

They never worshipped the wound. They used it as a doorway, to ego, surrender, self-awareness, God, love, whatever name makes sense to you.

The point was never to become your suffering. The point was to let suffering remove what was false. Maybe healing is not becoming someone new. Maybe it is meeting the person who was there before the pain learned your name.

I’m calling this little series “Who Loves Whom?”

Not because failure and success are people, obviously, but because both seem to have very specific tastes.

Failure is strangely attracted to things that feel intelligent: overthinking, perfect planning, endless preparation, and keeping options open.

Success has less glamorous preferences: repetition, exposure, boring systems, uncomfortable decisions, showing up again.

So this IP is basically an ongoing investigation into one question:What does failure secretly love, and what does success keep choosing instead?

Because sometimes the difference between the two isn’t talent.

It’s taste.
