Spoiled. Enjoying likely the only time in the next decade that I will have a chance to get a small sip of these. I am thankful for the kindness of those willing to share treasures with goobers such as myself. Both were unbelievable, but Jikon is straight nuts. by @sakewithdevin

Helping my friend Greg @sakesecret while he's visiting Japan - I'll be manning his bar this coming Sunday 10/23. If you find yourself free and like any of: sake, beer, or tasty pizza I invite you to come on through (there's also like 80 sake on the menu or something). His pop-up is located inside of long Beach beer lab for now, while he raises funds for a brick and mortar coming soon. Check out that Kickstarter too if you're like me and need more places or excuses to enjoy sake in southern California. by @sakewithdevin

Fridge at work looking kinda fun.

If you're bored tomorrow and want to pregame sake day with me, I'll be doing a super casual event at work. 6ish sake not on the menu, but from breweries that will be on the next menu.
Edit: I should probably mention it's at 6pm taken in Izakaya Takasei by @sakewithdevin

Dhdheidjdbalajs my draft is gone, low effort log time

Winter denshin nama, tasty and surprisingly unrestrained. Lively, but has a good amount of savory punch in the back. If it didn't run out, probably would have been really great warm too.

Azumaichi junmai from saga, bottle 2 years old. Mellow and relaxing apples to, probably also good warm by @sakewithdevin

Taking out the recycling ...

Maybe a couple months of "research" so much yummy stuff 😭

Tengumai, shichida, taiheikai, Toko, taka, tensei, watribune, dan, kid, born, izumo fuji, gozenshu, rihaku, chiyomusubi, hanagaki tedorigawa, tenko, shimeharitsuru, sohomare, fukucho, mimurosugi, fuku chitose, kuzyryu

That's a mess of a combination of brands/labels/breweries but whatever by @sakewithdevin

Devin helps with sake-related work at 8 am.

Daishichi junmai kimoto sokai reishu is really good. I was worried at the nose, some notes I generally am weary of (licorice, anise) but it's quite soft and pleasing. Relaxing, easy-drinking, pre-meal type junmai.

Fukuju blue always tasty, good balance of happy ginjo fruit, but finishes nice and crisp.

Kinokunia bunzaemon haven't had in I don't know how long. Deep flower (sunflower?) Aroma, ripe fruit on the palate, finishes decently savory.

I feel like I started Instagram to make a log on what I've been drinking. So if I don't update it, what's the point? My fridge is generally stocked to this point, cats have been chillin', it's been too long since I've revisited kokuryu ginjo, senkin omachi classic is great but lacks the impact of modern (but classic keeps better), and I forgot how nice it is to sit down and enjoy sake with others that are also willing. Going to crack open a senkin kamenoo classic tonight for research too, why not?

So much sake, so little time ( and money q_q)
