سامر زاهر في عرض صدى الأجداد، من مداخلة بيروت فزكل لاب ضمن مهرجان مدار 2026.

صدى الأجداد يعالج موضوع الغياب، من زاوية النشأة دون أصل أو نسب معروف. يستحضر سامر ذكرياته الأولى مع أنواع مختلفة من الرقص، متعاملًا مع الجسد بوصفه أرشيفًا حيًّا، ساحة صراع، وفضاءً للّعب. شارك في خلق هذا العمل إلى جانب بسام أبو دياب.

عن سامر:
راقص ومؤدي مسرح حركي لبناني، ومدرب رقص. دخل إلى عالم الرقص في سنّ مبكرة، وتدرب مع عدة مصممي رقص، كما مع بيروت فزكل لاب. شارك في عدّة عروض منها أثر، تنوين، التيرايشن، فرايم والكباريه المهاجر. يمزج في أسلوبه بين الدبكة وبوليوود والفوغينغ والارتجال، متحديًا بذلك المفاهيم الثابتة عن الهوية.

The performance explores absence through the experience of growing up without a known origin or lineage. In this solo, Samer channels the memory of his first encounters with different dance forms, approaching his body as a living archive, a battlefield, and a playground. Co-created by Samer Zaher and Bassam Abou Diab.

About Samer:
He is a Lebanese dance and physical theatre artist, and a dance trainer. Trained from a young age with various choreographers and later with Beirut Physical Lab, he has performed in works such as Alteration, Imprints, Tanween, Frame, and Cabaret Migrant. Blending Dabke, Bollywood, Voguing, and improvisation, his practice creates hybrid movement forms that challenge fixed notions of identity.

ماذا لو كانت الحركة مساحة لنكون فيها على راحتنا، نلعب، ونعبّر عن حالنا؟

هيدي الورشة بتدعو الأطفال والشباب من عمر ٧ سنوات وما فوق لاكتشاف الرقص كمساحة للفرح والتعبير.
من خلال تمارين بسيطة ومرِحة، والارتجال، والحركة الجماعية، منرجع نتواصل مع إيقاعنا الداخلي ونكتشف طريقتنا الخاصة بالحركة.

After working with choreographer-director "Bassam About DIAB".
Going back to the memory of the body and the stories of it.
Exploring the connection between the present and the past, questioning the roots and searching for belonging.
This dance is a return.
A question whispered through movement —
Where do we come from? Where do we belong?

Each gesture, each breath carries the echoes of those before me and their culture.
In the rhythm of my heartbeat, I feel the pulse of my ancestors —
their stories, their strength, their silence.

" Our body remembers what history forgets.
Through motion, we trace the invisible lines that connect us
to the soil, the sound, the spirit of where we began".

This is not just a performance —
it’s a conversation with memory,
a dance with belonging,
a reclamation of roots. 🌱🕊️
