One of thee loveliest afternoons… And still feeling oh so good!💞

Couldn’t be more proud to receive the ‘Doing the Most Good’ Award in front of my Family, Friends and Colleagues a few weeks ago from the @salarmyphilly The Salvation Army of Greater Philadelphia at their ‘Celebrate Hope’ Luncheon!

A BIG thank you to the incomparable Reverend Bonnie Camarda! And so much appreciation for Emcee 6abc’s Karen Rogers and Philabundance’s Loree Jones Brown who brought me to TEARS with their introductions!

So thrilled to have so many in the room supporting me - my wonderful Mom, my Man Steven, BFF Valerie, my fab Coordinator Marguerite and my tribe of Loved Ones, Work Fam and Community Organizations I’ve supported through the years.

Congratulations to my fellow Honorees - JEVS’ Cynthia Figueroa and Congressman Dwight Evans.

It’s a blessing and a pleasure and a mission to ‘DO GOOD’ with a platform I’ve been given and making an impact on our communities in need.

❤️ Celebrate Hope wasn’t the end. It was the beginning of what comes next.

We gathered. We celebrated. We connected. We raised awareness and resources for seniors throughout Greater Philadelphia.

But when the tables are cleared, the photos are posted, and the luncheon is behind us, the need doesn’t disappear — and neither does our commitment.

The conversations started in that room matter.

The introductions matter.
The partnerships matter.
The commitments matter.
And what we choose to do next matters.

So, let’s keep the conversation going.

How can your company get involved?
How can your team volunteer?
What resources can we bring together?
Who else needs to be at the table?

Celebrate Hope is one day. Creating hope is year-round. ❤️

To everyone who joined us at the Crystal Tea Room: thank you for showing up.

Now, let’s keep showing up for Philadelphia.

Tomorrow, we Celebrate Hope. But before we gather, we have one more goal to reach. ❤️

For too many older adults across Philadelphia, the question isn’t simply “What’s for dinner?” It can be “Can I afford dinner after paying for my medication, utilities and housing?”

That’s why our $300,000 Celebrate Hope goal is about so much more than a number.

Every gift helps The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia provide seniors with the things that make it possible to live with greater dignity and security—nutritious meals, food assistance, supportive resources, meaningful connection and a community that reminds them they are not forgotten.

Philadelphia’s older population is growing, and the need is real. Among Philadelphians age 60+ living in the community, 40% report living with some form of disability, creating additional challenges for many seniors trying to remain independent.

Today, I’m asking Philadelphia to help us close the gap.

$25 matters.
$50 matters.
$100 matters.
And when hundreds of us decide that our seniors are worth showing up for, those gifts become something powerful.

🎯 Our goal: $300,000.
❤️ Our reason: Philadelphia’s seniors.
⏰ Our time: Right now.

Tomorrow, we’ll celebrate hope. Today, you can help create it.
