i’m circe…on my island of exile
the sailors who kept washing up
were they not tests?
small experiments for my newfound magic
part of some larger plan and if not
why here and now
does it even make a difference
to be granted with this unearthly force
if I’m stuck, earthbound
i may as well turn myself to nature next
to creature

PAY IT FORWARD
OUT MAY 1st

i’m circe, in a field on my island of exile.

on the island, there is a wailing wall. I write all of the crimes, the world’s disasters. I roll them into paper, slide them between the rocks. there’s a shed. the back house, filled with old sculptures, the gifted loom I’m too tired to use. some ghosts that don’t bother me much anymore. there are the pigs. yes, they are my past loves, transformed by witchcraft. yes, it’s a bad habit of mine. I’m trying to quit.

……..new music coming this spring.......

moodboard moment for « pay it forward » coming out this Friday. pre-save in 🔗.

me n @luke.volkert and other beautiful ppl have been working on this for 3+ years and you will hear all those eras/lifetimes/circles around the sun. some of u know i sometimes like to write songs in the universe of a book/movie: this song lives in and out of circe by Madeline Miller, Pay it Forward (2000) and Secret Life of Bees (2008) ~and others~.

therapy’s not enough. I need to fight helios. #newmusic #indie #moodboard by @salipal
