Now in its second year, the Landscape Open at @salisburymuseum celebrates the breadth of landscape in contemporary art.

And this year’s open call proved just how far that idea can travel.

Over 2,400 entries arrived from artists working in 43 countries, each responding to the theme of landscape in their own way...

From traditional rural scenes to cityscapes and interpretations that push the idea further still.

🎨 We're delighted to announce Sophie Bartlett's solo exhibition – opening TODAY!

Sophie won the inaugural Landscape Open at Salisbury Museum in 2025, and her prize was the chance to exhibit with us. Now her stunning work is on display in our upstairs gallery.

Since winning, Sophie has been capturing the beauty of Wiltshire and Hampshire's downlands across the seasons.

Her exhibition perfectly complements our Landscape Open 2026 exhibition (opening 17 October).

Come and see her work – it's stunning! 🌄✨

The Bloomsbury Group in Wiltshire ~ on now at Salisbury Museum 🤎 this is the last weekend you can see this exhibition...

It looks at the Bloomsbury Group away from London and Sussex, and instead at Ham Spray House ~ the Wiltshire home of Lytton Strachey, Dora Carrington, and Ralph and Frances Partridge from 1924 to 1960.

Paintings, sculptures, rare archive film, even ceramics from the Omega Workshops 🪶

👉 Swipe across for an amazing image showing the interconnected nature of the group 😉

Museum director Adrian Green called their Wiltshire years "among their most intimate and creatively rich," and walking through, that felt exactly right 📔

On until 27th September, if you're in the area.
