Huge congratulations to our Highly Commended artists at the Landscape Open 2026! 🎉

From over 2,400 entries by 1,300 artists across 43 countries, these six stood out to our judges:

From mezzotint and nib pen drawing to bone china, Jesmonite and oil on reclaimed metal, their work shows just how many ways there are to represent the landscape.

The Landscape Open is on show at Salisbury Museum (King’s House) until 31 January 2027, with the works of 83 shortlisted artists on display.

My ceramic sculpture “Grassy Toes” is currently being displayed at the Salisbury Museum as part of The Landscape Open. On until the end of January. I had a lovely evening on Friday for the opening, met many amazing landscape artists and drank good wine. It was lovely to discover such a picturesque place. Would recommend a trip!

We are thrilled to announce the winner of this year's Landscape Open, @ambrosineallen

Ambrosine has been awarded a solo show at @salisburymuseum and a cash prize of £1,000

Allen centres her practice around an ever expanding series of intricate collages, meticulously created using layer upon layer of tiny paper cuttings. The subjects are landscapes, often epic in scope but with a detailed aesthetic that references 17th and 18th century engravings of a geographical nature. Each piece often takes several months to complete.

Had a great day yesterday in Salisbury as well as an enjoyable pv at the Salisbury museum where my etching 'Blustery day Stackpole head' is one of the 85 works of art in their landscape exhibition. On until the 31st January 2027
